The weekend flew by. I went to the mall with Simba, Pete and Emily and we had a blast. Dad gave me some money so I was able to buy a few things. We went into all kinds of stores and did little fashion shows in the dressing rooms and Pete helped me pick out awesome outfits. We ate lunch at the food court and took pictures in the photo booths that they had scattered around the mall. The day flew by so fast and by Sunday, I was kind of a little nervous about my second date with Danny. I hadn't mentioned anything to any of my friends about my date with Danny because I didn't want them telling me about how I was going to end up with my heart broken. I mean come on, I only like the guy, it's not like I'm going to fall in love with the guy. I know that it's probably a little soon for some girls or guys to go on another date with the same person just 2 days after the first but, if Danny was up for it, then I guess I was too.

Danny texted me around 6:30, telling me that I needed to wear something fancy and that he would be here within an hour. I decided on a short, strapless black dress that comes about mid thigh. I curled my hair even out a little bit of make up on and picked out a pair of silver high heels to go with a silver necklace I picked out to wear. Once I was done, I had 5 minutes before Danny got here, so I just went and got on my computer and messed around on facebook for a little bit.

After about 30 minutes of waiting on Danny to come get me, I text him and asked him if something happened or if he just wanted to reschedule. He never texted me and I got really annoyed. I took my shoes, necklace, dress and make up off and laid down on my bed. I pick up my phone and call Simba. "Hello?" "Hey Simba." "Oh hey Candy!" "Um, do you think it would be ok if I come over and hang out?" "Actually, my parents are out and I'm not supposed to have anyone over." "Oh. Ok." "But hey, I can come over to yours." "But what about your parents?" "They just said I couldn't have people over, not that I could go out." I laugh at her tone and she laughs too. "Ok. I'll text you my address." "Cool. See ya in a bit." "Bye."

I text Simba my address and she got here in about 10 minutes. I gave her a hug and we went up to my room with a bag of chips and a couple sodas. "Um, Candy? Why is your hair curled at...almost 8 at night?" she asked after checking her phone for the time. "Oh. Well, I didn't want to tell y'all but...I was supposed to have a date with Danny West tonight." "What!?!? Wait, what do you mean 'supposed' to" "He stood me up." "Oh. I'm sorry." "It's ok I guess. It was actually supposed to be our second date." "Wow, wow, wow. Your second date?" I nod my head yes. "Where did he take you?" "He took me to a carnival about 45 minutes from here and it was amazing. He was sweet, except for at the beginning when he was flirting with the girl at the ticket booth right in front of me. He bought the snacks when I was getting ready to and he told me that I wasn't like all the other girls that threw themselves all over him." "Wow. Do you think he really like you?" "Obviously not because if he did he wouldn't have stood me up. I texted him and asked him if anything had happened or if he wanted to reschedule but he never text me back." "Maybe-" She was cut off by her phone going off. She pulled it our of her pocket and looked to see what it was. A few seconds later her eyes bugged out. "What is it?" She looked up at me and then back down to her phone. "Simba, seriously what is it?" She kinda freaked me out the way she looked at me just now. She hesitantly turned the phone around to me and I saw a picture of Danny making out with some girl at some kind of party. It kind of hurt me a little bit when I saw that. He fucking stood me up to go to a party! "I'm sorry Candy." "No it's ok." I say half heartedly. It's none of my business as to what Danny does on his own time. But, there is no way I'm saying yes to going out with him again.

The next day at school, Pete and Emily were questioning me the whole day about why I would go on a date with Danny. "You told them?" I asked her. "I'm sorry. I'm just used to telling them everything. Pwease don't be mad." she said in a baby voice. I laughed and hugged her. "I'm not mad just, maybe a warning next time?" She nodded her head and Pete and Emily where at it again, asking me questions. "He asked me out after school Friday and he looked really sincere about it, like her really wanted to get to know me. I saw something in his eyes...at least I thought I did." I say and they look at me with confused look on their faces. "He stood her up last night." Simba said. "Well that's not surprising." Pete mumbled. I shot him a look and he put his hands up. "I'm just saying, Danny West is capable of anything." After that, we dropped the subject and headed to our first class.

At lunch, I got a text message from Danny, telling me to meet him in the library. I put the phone back into my pocket and continued to talk to my friends. I figured, if he can stand me up and not have the decency to text me and let me know what's going on, then I wont tell him that I'm not meeting him and just let him wait there for his lunch period.

After lunch, we all walked to our classes. It went by pretty slowly. We just took notes, notes and more notes. The bell rang, signaling fourth period. When I walk into class, I see Danny sitting in the back row. His head immediately snaps to me and I can see annoyance on his face. I smirk and sit a few seats away from him. "He doesn't look happy." Simba says, in a mocking voice. I snicker and so does she.

Once class is over, I tell them all bye and out to my motorcycle. Right before I get on, I remember that I forgot my civics textbook in my locker. I need it to take notes on the 2 chapters I'm supposed to read. I turn around and walk back into the school. The halls are now deserted, on a count of school is over and no teenager wants to be in this hell hole for longer than they need to be. I make my way to my locker and turn the dial. Once I get it open I take my book out and put it into my back pack. Before I can shut the door, it slams shut making me jump back. I turn to my right and see Danny standing beside me. "Why didn't you meet me?" I ignore his question and continue to walk away. He grabs my arm and turns me around. "I asked you a question." "That doesn't mean I have to answer." His grip tightened on my arm and I winced. "Why didn't you meet me?" he asks again. "You stood me up for our date so that means I don't have to meet you if I don't want to." "Excuse me for having more important things to do." "What, like going to a party and making out with random girls?" His eyes get a little wide with realization. I yank my arm out of his grip and start walking away again. I get a few feet away and stop and turn back around. "Oh, and don't worry about asking me out again. 'I have more important things to do'." I say, mocking him and make my way back out to the parking lot.
