Talking it Out, or so I Thought

The weekedn went by smoothly. I went and hung out with Pete on Saturdayand he told me about this guy at school that he really likes. Aparently, "he's the hotest guy on the planet." His name is Jason and he has brown eyes and blonde hair. Pete isn't sure if he's gay yet, but then again he's only been talking to him for about three weeks now. But if he isn't, Pete thinks he can turn him with his "magical" powers. It was really nice to know that Pete trusts me enough already to tell me about this.

The rest of the weekend was filled with homework and thoughts about what happened at the dinner Firday night. Danny really surprised me. I had no idea that he told his parents about me. And then the look he gave me when we were outside of the bathroom. I was shocked that he portrayed those kinds of emtions.

He looked so hurt, like he was in real pain. And just those two things alone have made me think that maybe he may not be a complete jerk after all. Somewhere in him is a guy who genuinly cares for people. I can't believe I'm even thinking about him. I mean, just a couple weeks ago I wanted nothing to do with him. Now, I can't stop thinking about him.

Maybe I should talk to him about what happened Friday. But I don't want it to seem like it meant anything to me. I think I'll just wait a while and see if he tries to talk to me or something. But its driving me crazy not knowing. Ok, I'll talk to him about it tomorrow.

*****At school Monday*****

When I arrived at school the next morning, Simba and Emily were waiting for me outside the front of the school. They had smirks on their faces and I knew they wanted the scoop on what happened at the dinnet Friday night. "So, how'd it go?" Simba asked. "Was the son cute?" Emily counterd. "You'll never guess who's house the dinner was at." I say. "Who's?" Em asked. "Danny West's." Both of their mouths were wide open and they had bug eyes. I laughed on the inside at how ridiculous they looked. "You're kidding." Simba said. "Wish I was. The dinner probably would have been less awkward." "Well that answers my question." I heard Emily mutter and I couldn't help but laugh. Yes, Danny was very hot but he's a jerk so that kind of cancles the appeal. Well, I won't know if he's a complete jerk until I talk to him today. Can't wait to see how that goes. Note the sarcasm.

We walked into the bulding together, heading to our frist class. When we got there, Pete was no where to be seen. Huh, that's strange. He's usually always here first or is waiting for me with the girsl outside. "Hey, have either of you seen Pete today?" I ask. The both shake their heads. "No, I haven't seen him. Don't worry though, probably just car trouble. That happens to him alot on account of he has a real crappy car." Simba says. I laugh and nod my head.

Right as the bell rings, Pete comes in. His hair is dishiveled, his lips are a little puffy and he has a slight blush on his cheeks. Another guy comes in behind him looking the same way except instead of the blush, he's wearing a smirk. Well that's odd. Pete comes and sites down in his desk beside me and I stare at him. He gives me a sheepish smile and shrugs. I definitley have to ask him about that later.

Class ends an hour and twenty minutes later and I'm so ready to get out of their. Not that I hate English it's just, the topic we were on was so boring. Plus, I was so lost. The gang and I walked out of class and headed to our second classes. "See you guys later." Em said and we all waved by to her. Once we were seated, I turned in my seat to face Pete. "Ok, so what was up this morning?" I ask him. "What do you mean?" "Oh, don't play dumb. Why did you walk in with you hair all messed up and why were you blushing?" He was silent for a few seconds and just stared at me. "Well?" "Jason kissed me." he blurted out real fast. "What?!?!" I whisper yelled so no one could hear me. "Yeah. We were hanging out behind the school this morning and were just talking and then all of a sudden, he kissed me." "How was it?" "Candy it was amazing. His lips were so soft and the way he held me, he was so gentle and sweet." he gushed and I could see the littler imaginary stars in his eyes. "Well, I'm glad you're happy." I say with a big smile. "Thanks Candy. Oh, and don't tell the girls yet." I nodded my head although I didn't understand why he didn't want them to know. They've known him longer than I have. I shrugged it off and stopped thinking about it. If he didn't want them to know yet, then that's his decission.

During class i decided that I was going to talk to Danny during lunch today about Friday. I sneakily pulled out my phone and texted him to meet me in the library ten minutes before third period starts. He replyed back saying ok and I put my phone away and tried my best to pay attention to what we were learning.

*****At Lunch*****

"Why were you almost late to class this morning?" Simba asked Pete once we were all seated at our usual table. "Oh...uh....I was catching up on some, uh, homework." he said, but we could all tell he was lying. "Yeah, right." Simba said but didn't push the subject anymore. I saw Pete let out a big sigh and silently laughed at that. I don't understand why we wouldn't just tell them.

"Ok, well, since you weren't with us this morning you missed out on some intersexting news." Emily says. "Ew, what I miss?!?!" Pete says with excitement. "You know that dinner Candy went to on Friday night with her dad?" Simba asked him. He nods his head 'yes' and moves his hand in a 'continue' motion. "Well, guess who's house it was at?" "Whos?" Simba looked at me, silently letting me to let him in on the information. "Danny West's house." I say. His mouth is ajar and his eyes looking disbelieving. "Are you serious?" he asks. I nod my head and he composes himself.

"How did it go?" "It was awkward. Especially towards the end." "Why, what happened?" Simba butts in. "Well, at one point during the dinner, I had to use the bathroom so his mother made him show me where it was. Once we got up there, I was getting ready to walk into the bathroom but he pushed me against the wall. He put his forehead against mine with his eyes closed and he had this pained look on his face." I tell them. "Wow." they all say at once. "Yeah." "Are you going to talk to him about it?" Simba asks. "I was just about to do that actually. I texted him before lunch and told him to meet me in the library. So....I will see guys later." I say as I get my backpack and walk out the cafeteria.

*****In the Library*****

Once I got to the library, I sat at one of the tables and put in my head phones. I figured if I'm waiting on him to get here I might as well entertain myself. Just as "Sail" by Awolnation was coming on, I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I looked up and there was Danny. He had a bored expression on his face, as if he really didn't want to be here right now. I pulled out my head phones and stood up. I walked towards the back of the library and he follwed behind me. I stopped by one of the big bookshelves that would hide us from most peoples view. What, I don't like people knowing my business.

"Ok, what do u wanna talk about?" Danny asks, not really caring. "What was up with you Friday night?" Hr stiffens and looks away from me. "I don't know what you're talking about." I scoffed. "Don't give me that Danny. You know exactly what I'm talking about." His gaze is still averted from mine and we just stand there, saying nothing to each other. "Why did you act like that outside the bathroom?" I blurted out. His head snaps to mine and I can see anger in his eye. He takes long strides until his face is only a few centimeters away from mine. "Nothing. Happened." He says very slowly and I can hear the venom in his voice.

At that comment, I started to get very angry. He has no right to talk to me like that. "First off, don't be angry with me, I did nothing wrong. And second, obviously something did happen or you wouldn't be this messed up over it." He stayed silent, just staring at me. I never averted my gaze from his. After about 2 minutes of staring, he walked away. I didn't go after him. I stayed put in my spot until I heard the bell ring. Well, that did not go as planned.
