The next day I got up and went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and took my hair out of my ponytail and brushed it out. Then I went to my dresser and picked out a pair of blue jean skinny jeans, a light orange V-neck short sleeved shirt and my neon multicolored DC high tops. I skipped on the mascara and lip gloss and grabbed my leather jacket and walked down stairs. I stepped into the kitchen and was surprised that my dad wasn't in there and that there was no food being cooked. I walked over to the fridge and noticed a note tapped to the door. " Candice, I hade to leave early for work but I'll be home by the time you get home from school today. Have a great day at school and tonight we'll go out and eat at a nice restaurant to make up for the loss of breakfast this morning. I love you, sweets." I smiled at the note and then walked over to the trash can and threw it away. Well, at least I'll have one good meal today, I thought to myself. I grabbed my back pack, slung it over my shoulder and walked out the door, locking it behind me. I hopped on my bike and made my way to school.
I rode into the parking lot but everything was different today. Everyone was staring at me. I had arrived to school early today which is probably why everyone was looking at me. I had gotten here at a normal time yesterday which is why no one really paid any attention to me but right now, everyone's eyes were on me, wanting to know who the new person was. I looked around the parking lot and two boys caught my attention: Danny and Macon. I guess they noticed someone watching them because they turned their attention to me and had smirks on there faces as if to say, "We're the bad boys as school. Just because you're new and ride a motorcycle, doesn't make you anything." Little did they know, it wasn't a boy underneath this helmet. I turned my bike off and slowly took my helmet off and shook my hair out. I looked up at them and their smirks instantly dropped. I smirked at them and hopped off my bike. As I made my way over to the main entrance, I could feel everyone's eyes on me, even Danny and Macon's. I couldn't keep the smirk off my face. Right as I was getting ready to walk past them, my name was called out. I turned around and saw Pete, Emily and Simba walking towards me. I smiled and waited for them to catch up with me. I hugged all of them and then we walked to English together.
"Girl, you had everybody's eyes on you out there." Simba said. I smiled and giggled at her comment. "It's true Candy. I mean, I'm gay and even I can say you're the definition of "damn girl, you fine!"" Pete said. "Ok, I am not that good looking guys." "Don't deny it Candy. You know your hot." Simba added. Emily, Pete and I laughed and then class started. English dragged on forever. We were supposed to get the first three chapters read but we only got the first one read because people kept being immature and interrupting and then the people that were actually interested in the book, wouldn't stop asking all these questions about "what the author meant when he wrote this" or "why this piece of information was important." It was so annoying and we ended up receiving chapters two and three as homework. Biology wasn't much better. We had to read two full units and take notes while reading. Thank god I got that finished in time. I really hope I don't have anymore homework to do tonight. For free period, I met with the group down the hall where they were all sitting on the floor, against the wall, beside a class room. "Hey guys. You know that reading we have to do for homework in English." They all nodded their heads and said yeah. "Well, I'm going out to dinner with my dad tonight and we'll probably be back pretty late so I'm gonna go to the library and try to finish most of it." "Ok. We'll see you at lunch." Pete said. I waved bye and made my way to the library.
Forty minutes later, I had finished the two chapters and wasn't interrupted by anyone. I grabbed my back pack off the floor and placed it on the table. I opened it and placed my book inside. Just as I stood up and was about to start walking out the door, someone on tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw none other than, Danny West. "Hi." he said. "Hey, Can I help you?" I asked with kind of an annoyed voice. He chuckled and it made me shiver slightly in delight. "I'm Danny West and you are?" he introduced himself. "I'm Candy and I know who you are." I told him. He smirked. "So you've asked about me?" "Not really. My friends told me who you were." "Well either way, you still know who I am. So, what do you say to me taking you out tonight and then maybe we you can come back to my house and we can have a little 'fun' after?" I couldn't believe him. We just met and he has the nerve to ask me out just to get into my pants after? Fuck no! "Um no thanks, I think I'll pass. Why don't you ask one of the many others girls that I'm sure you having falling at your feet?" I said the last part with a smile on my face and then walked away, leaving him there stunned.
