Heaving a sigh I walked to my next class annoyed. I took my seat between Pete and Simba and put my head on my desk. "So I guess talking to Danny didn't go so well?" Simba asked with reluctance in her tone. "It went like shit." I said as I lifted my head up and looked at her. "What happened?" Pete asked. "He started getting mad at me and denying anything had happened.. He's acting like a total douche." I groaned. "Well he's a guy, it's typical." Simba commented. "Hey!" Pete yelled. "That's offensive." He pouted. "Simba didn't mean you Pete. You're the only exception." I said with a smile.
*****After School*****
I walked out if school and down the parking lot to my bike. I pull my helmet off the handle bars, use one hand to hold my hair up in a bun, and place my helmet over my head flipping the viser on the front down to cover my eyes. I kick the stand back with my foot, put the key in the ignition and start it up. Pulling out of the parking lot, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened in the library with Danny. Why does he have to be such an asshole all the time? One minute he's actting all vulnerable and the next he's a closed off jerk who has a lot of dificulty admitting things.
I was too caught up in my thoughts to realize that someone was standing a few feet away from my bike and almost didnt stop in time. "Can whatch where the hell you're going?!" I yelled. Looking at them more clearly, it was Danny, with his clasic "bad-boy-catch-all-the-ladies" look. "What the hell do you want now Danny?" I asked, annoyance evident in my voice. His face went serious and I just stayed in my spot. "I wanna talk." I scoffed, "You had the chance to talk to me during lunch at the library. Sorry hun, oppertunity's gone." I got ready to start moving again when Danny put both his hands on the handle bars of my bike. "Let go Danny." I said through clenched teeth. His smirk was back. "Not until you talk to me." I huffed and kiked the stand of my bike forward. I hopped off and pulled my helmet down, my hair falling over my shoulders. "What?" "I want to talk to you about what happened Friday night at my house." I crossed my arms, "So talk." He sighed and shook his head. "Not here." I stayed quiet, waiting for him to say somethig else. "Go to dinner with me tonight." "And wait around for you to stand me up again? No thanks." His eyes show vulnerability and it grips something in me. I sigh, knowing I'm going to regret this. "Fine. Pick me up at 7. Not 6:59, not 7:01, 7:00. And dont be late. I gave him a serious look and he just smiled. I pulled my helmet back on and hopped on my bike again. Danny moved out of the way and I sped out of the parking lot.
