"Scarlett come on!" Sam yelled, me sighing as I pulled my hair up into a messy bun, wrapping a black bandana around the front of my head before heading out of my room and down the stairs. "Bloody hell Sammy I'm coming! It's not like we've got a god damn time limit!" I exclaimed, him stood by the door, arms crossed as he watched me. "Well I am. I want to go to town and I doubt you want to stay in here all day." He said, me groaning as we walked outside only to be met by grandpa, a smirk plastered across his face. "Want to see the car?" He asked, my eyes lighting up as Sam's mouth dropped open. "You have a car?"
"Of course." He said, nodding towards the garage where we saw a beautifully polished car sat, my eyes wide as we walked towards it. "Oh...my god..." I whispered, Grandpa chuckling as he placed a hand on my shoulder. "Like it? Had it for years." He said, my eyes wide as he walked towards the car. "Well come on then." He said, me scurrying towards the car, Sam close behind as Grandpa started the engine, me smiling as I listened to the purr coming from the front. "Hear that? like a baby pussy cat. You've just gotta warm her up..." He said, revving it up again as me and Sam shared a look, Grandpa chuckling before putting on his sunglasses. "Okay then, lets go to town!" He exclaimed, my smile slowly disappearing as he stopped the engine quickly getting out of the car.

"I thought you said we were going to town?" Sam asked, me frowning as I leaned out the open window, Grandpa waving his hand in dismissal. "That's as close to town as I like to get..." He said, me groaning as he walked off back towards the house. "He has to be the weirdest man I've ever met..." Sam said, me sighing as I pulled on my sunglasses, looking at Sam. "At least we know where mom gets it from. Now come on, we better get going if we've got to walk." I said, getting out the car as Sam groaned, quickly getting out and walking beside me as we headed back towards town...

"Sammy you've got to be kidding me!" I exclaimed as he dragged me towards the comic store, me dragging my feet as much as possible. "Oh come on, it'll only be five minutes." He said, me sighing as I finally stopped fighting, walking into the comic store with Sam. "Keep an eye out for a Batman number 14-"
"I thought you'd already got one of those." I said, taking off my sunglasses and resting them on the top of my head as Sam smirked. "What's the harm in having another one?" He asked, chuckling as I rolled my eyes. I looked up, seeing Edgar and Alan from the night before, staring at me and Sam who was too concerned with the comic's to notice. Alan's eyes kept flickering from me to Sam, but Edgar's eyes were locked on me, a mixture of annoyance and curiosity lacing his dark brown eyes. I looked down, Sam looking up and frowning at the pair as Alan spoke. "Noticed anything different about Santa Carla yet?" He asked, Sam raising an eyebrow before speaking. "It's a pretty cool place, if your a Martian-"

"Or a Vampire." Edgar said, still staring straight at me as I frowned, me and Sam sharing a look. "Are you pulling on the new kids or something?" Sam asked, smirking as I frowned, Edgar tearing his eyes away from me to look at Sam. "You really think you know what's going on around here? Well listen buddy, you don't know shit." He said, his voice deep and raspy as I raised an eyebrow, looking at the pair of them. "Oh, and you know so much then?"

"We know a lot more than you do." He said, me glaring at them as Sam spoke. "Yeah...I'm sure you do..." He said, taking my arm and gently pulling me back towards the door. "I think you should read this." Edgar said, pressing the 'vampires everywhere' comic into my palm again as I groaned, stopping in my tracks and looking at them.  "I don't like comics-"
"And I don't like Horror comics-"

"Think of it more of a survival guide." Edgar said, me frowning as Alan turned the Comic over. "There's our number...pray you never have to call us." He said, me raising an eyebrow as I turned to Edgar. "Is this a game? Something you play on all the new kids that role up in Santa Carla?" I asked, Edgar raising an eyebrow before walking towards me, the comic gripped in his hands as I slowly backed up until my back pressed against the wall, me gulping slightly as he got closer and closer until he was pressed up against me. "Trust me baby doll, this will save your life." He said, his breath hitting my bare shoulder as the breath hitched in my throat, our eyes locking. "Hey!" Sam exclaimed, grabbing me and yanking me away from the wall, Edgar slowly turning to look at me, his eyes scanning me slowly as I let out a shaky breath. "Come on, we're going-"
"Not without this." Alan said, glaring at Edgar before ripping the comic from his hands, passing it to Sam. "Just pray you never have to call us." He said, pressing the comic into Sam's hands, me frowning as Sam nodded. "I'll pray...I never have to call you..." He said sarcastically, me hiding a giggle as the brothers looked at each other before walking off back down the aisle. "...They're crazy." I whispered, me and Sam continuing to stare after them as they stacked more comic's onto shelves.

"Completely." Sam whispered back, me giggling slightly as we quickly headed back outside, me putting on my sunglasses quickly to shade my eyes from the sun. "Enjoy the horror comic. Might distract you from the fact there's no MTV." I said, giggling as he shoved me lightly before looking back down at the comic. "Shut it you." He said, me giggling as we continued down the street...
