"Mickey come on. They're going to be here any minute." I said, shaking him lightly as he groaned, rolling over. "Mike. Come on. They're going to be here in a minute, and the sooner we can get this over with the better." I said, him sitting bolt upright, his eyes red and irritated. "Here." I said, passing him his sunglasses which he quickly shoved onto his face. I heard a growl behind me, me turning to see Nanook stood, snarling and growling as he glared at Michael. "Down baby!" I exclaimed, Nanook ignoring me as Michael groaned. "Get him out of here Scarlett."
"As long as you don't fall back asleep-"
"I wont, just take him out." He said, me sighing before taking Nanook by the collar and pulling him out of the doo. "Come on baby...come on..." I said, gently guiding him down the stairs just as Sam opened the door, Alan and Edgar walking into the house, dressed from head to toe in combat gear. "Okay, where's Nosferatu? The prince of Darkness?""The night crawler? The blood sucker?"
"Keep calling him that and I'll feed you to him." I said, letting Nanook's collar go as both the boys looked at me. "Hey Doll."
"Hey Ed. Alan." I said, smiling at them as Sam turned to me. "Where's Mike?"
"He's coming...at least I woke him up." I said, Sam sighing just as we heard a groan from the stairs. "Hey Mike." I said, him pulling on his leather jacket as he stumbled down the stairs, placing a hand on my shoulder to steady himself. "You sure we can do this?"
"Of course." I said, him looking at me for a moment before lifting his sunglasses to reveal his red, irritated eyes once more. "I trust you." He said, me smiling for a moment before hugging him tightly. "Good..." I whispered, him taking in a deep breath before yanking me away, him eyeing me warily. I saw a hunger in his eyes that made my blood run cold..."Maybe...you shouldn't hug me until this is all over..." He whispered, me nodding my head quickly. "...Agreed..." I whispered, him gently moving his hand from my arm. "Mike, do you know where the Vampire nest is?" Sam asked, Michael nodding his head as Edgar nodded. "We need to kill them all to turn you back to normal." He said, me biting my lip nervously. "Scarlett you're staying here-"
"I'm not. You're my brother and I'm saving your sorry ass." I said, Sam laughing slightly as Michael sighed. "I won't have the strength to protect you if anything goes wrong.""I'll look after her." Edgar said, Michael and Sam both looking at him, frowning as he shuffled his feet nervously. "I'll look out for her when I'm in there." He said, Sam nodding his head. "Fine."
"How do we know we can trust him?"
"Because he's a vampire hunter. Both of them are." He said, Michael eyeing them warily as I sighed, shaking my head. "Can we stop arguing about me and get in the god damn car before the sun sets?" I asked, the boys all looking at me before following me outside to the garage where Grandpa kept his car. We all piled in, me sitting in-between Alan and Edgar as we headed down the road. "Hey Grandpa! We're borrowing the car!" I called, seeing Grandpa frown after us as Sam laughed. "I think he could see that Scarlett."
"Well it's rude not to let him know." I said the others chuckling as we quickly sped down the road. Before long we had come to the edge of a cliff where Michael stated the Vampires hideout was. We all piled out of the car, me and Sam helping Michael as Edgar and Alan did a 'weapons check'. "Listen...both of you be careful in there...promise me?" Michael asked, me and Sam nodding our heads. "We promise." Sam said just as Edgar's voice rang out. "Just so you know, if you try to stop us or vamp out in anyway, I will stake you without thinking twice."
"I don't think you will." I said, walking up behind them as I helped Michael into the hide out. The whole place was old and dusty, with random items from different centuries scattered around the room. God only knows how long they'd been camping out here..."I think we should stake them right now!" Alan exclaimed, Michael suddenly fighting his way forwards. "No! Don't you touch her!"
"Ed we need to find the other vampires!" I exclaimed as Michael staggered forwards. Edgar ran back towards me, quickly taking my hand and pulling me down a small opening, Sam and Alan following close behind. "We're on the right trail. Drafts and Vampires go together just as well as Bullets and guns." Edgar said, me giggling slightly as his comparison. "Couldn't you have thought of anything better?""Hey!" He exclaimed, me giggling slightly as we came to a clearing. "So what are we looking for? Coffins?"
"Exactly beautiful. 4 great big coffins." Edgar said, me frowning as I flashed the light from the torch around. "I don't see anything Ed...""They have to be around here somewhere..." He mumbled, Sam pointing his torch at the ceiling, screaming at the top of his voice and making us all jump. "What?! What is it!?" I exclaimed, Edgar quickly grabbing onto me, the pair of us holding on for dear life as we looked up at the ceiling, seeing all four vampires hanging from the ceiling. "Holy shit! It's one big coffin!" Alan exclaimed, me letting out a shaky breath as me and Edgar slowly let go of each other, Alan turning to Edgar. "Come on, lets stake em."
"Be careful..." I whispered, watching nervously as the both of them climbed up, stake in hands. "Which ones the head vampire?"
"We don't know, so they're all getting staked." Edgar said, me biting my nails nervously as he stabbed one. It's eyes snapped open, a strangled cry coming from their throat as Edgar and Alan were sprayed with brown goo; the pair of them screaming as the other three vampires woke, all of them yelling as Edgar and Alan fell to the floor. "You're dead meat!" One of them yelled, Edgar grabbing my hand and pulling me back down the corridor.Suddenly I was grabbed from behind and yanked away from Edgar, me letting out a scream as I fought against the vampire that had grabbed me. "Hey! Let her go!" Sam yelled, the boys glaring at the vampire as he chuckled, sniffing my hair. "My...she's very pretty...smells good too...I wonder how she tastes-"
"Don't you dare!" Edgar yelled, all three of them staring with wide eyes as I felt a piercing pain in my neck, me letting out a scream as the pain soared through my veins. I heard the boys yell and suddenly Edgar lunged forwards, a fire present in his eyes that I'd never seen before in my life. He grabbed me, pulling both me and the vampire into the sunlight, the vampire letting out a piercing scream before dropping me into Edgar's arms, him holding me up as I gazed at the vampire. "We need to go!" Alan exclaimed, my vision blurring, my limbs growing limp as I collapsed forwards, my eyes fluttering shut...
EDGAR'S POV
I quickly caught Scarlett as she fell forwards, panic soaring through my veins. "Shit!" I exclaimed, immediately scooping her up in my arms, Sam and Alan staring with wide eyes. "We've got to go! Now!" I yelled, the both of them nodding before scurrying off down the corridor and back out into the sunlight where Star, Laddie and Michael were fast asleep in the car. "Come on!" Sam yelled, me gently placing Scarlett in the back of the car, going to climb in beside her just as Alan grabbed my wrist, making me turn to look at him. "We don't ride with bloodsuckers."
"Fine, stay here." Sam said, fear spreading across Alan's face as I ripped my wrist free. "Now we do." I said, climbing into the car, Alan getting in the other side as I rested Scarlett on my lap, placing light pressure on the bleeding bite wound in her neck. She was going to be okay...I wasn't going to let her die...not now...not ever...
