EDGAR'S POV

The tyres screeched as we finally pulled up to the house, Michael jumping out the car and grabbing Star, looking at Sam who was also jumping out the car. "Sam, get Scarlett-"

"I've got her." I said, getting out of the car and going to pick her up. "No, Sam you get her-"
"I said I've got her!" I snapped, everyone stopping and looking at me with wide eyes as I glared at them. "...He's got her..." Sam said, me quickly picking her up, clutching her to my chest as Alan grabbed Laddie, all of us darting into the house where we were met by Nanuck who was stood there, snarling at us. "He can smell the blood suckers." Alan said, Michael groaning before looking at Sam. "Take him outside." He said, Sam quickly leading him outside as we darted up the stairs. "Michael!" Someone exclaimed, all of us stopping and turning to see his Grandpa stood at the end of the stairs, watching us carefully. "Do you know the rule about filling up the car with gas when you take it without asking?" He asked, all of us staying silent and staring at him in disbelief. How did he not realise what was actually going on?

"...No Grandpa..." He said, his Grandpa sighing as he looked at Michael, and then at Scarlett who I still had clutched in my arms. "...and remind Scarlett when she wakes up..." He said, Michael slowly nodding his head as he walked off, all of us immediately darting up the stairs, Michael kicking open a door and placing Star on the bed, Sam finally joining us as Alan placed Laddie down to. "Where's Scarlett's room?"
"Here." He said, opening the door as I walked in, gently placing her down on the bed and looking at the bite wound on her neck. "She's stopped bleeding."
"But is she going to be okay?" Sam asked nervously as Alan checked her pulse, looking back at us. "It's still as strong as ever. She should be okay." He said, me letting out a sigh of relief, looking down at her as she groaned slightly, rolling over.

"Well what do we do now?"
"We've only got 2 hours." Alan said, Sam frowning as he turned to look at him. "What do you mean? What happens in two hours?"
"The sun goes down and they'll come looking for us!" He exclaimed, grabbing me and Sam as I shook my head. "We can't leave Scarlett here. We need to wait for her to wake up."

"Look Edgar, we haven't got the time to wait for your chick to wake up!" Alan snapped, me glaring at him as I spoke. "Listen to me, she's been bitten, which means her neck is covered in her own blood...and she's going to be alone in the house with three blood suckers...she'll be as good as dead..." I said, both Sam and Alan stopping and looking at each other for a moment before looking back at me. "Good point." Sam said, just as Scarlett groaned, all of us turning to see her eyes flutter open slightly...

SCARLETT'S POV

My eyes fluttered open, my vision blurred for a moment before I finally focused on my bedroom, three figures stood looming over me. I slowly sat up, realising that the three figures were Sam, Edgar and Alan, all three of them watching me nervously. "How do you feel?" Edgar asked, biting his bottom lip nervously as I rubbed my temples, everything flooding back from earlier on that day.

"How...How did I get out?"
"I carried you." Edgar said, me smiling up at him. "Thanks Ed..." I whispered, him grinning at me as Sam cleared his throat. "We need to go. We've only got two hours before those bastards come back." He said, me slowly getting to my feet as we headed outside to the bikes. "You can't ride a bike in that state." Sam said as I stumbled towards my own bike. "Well I'm not staying here on my own..." I said, leaning against the wall as Edgar looked at me. "You can ride on the back of mine." He said, Sam looking at us for a moment before sighing. "I don't see another way around it so it looks like you're going to have to." He said, me sighing as I got on the back of Edgar's bike, all of us speeding off down the road and stopping outside the video store. "Edgar, Alan, stay here, Scar come with me,  we need to talk to mom." Sam said, me nodding my head as I gently hopped off the back of Edgars bike, following Sam into the store.

"Mom!" Sam exclaimed, her staring at us with wide eyes. "Sam! Scarlett what on earth-"
"Mom, you need to listen to us. There are Vampires living in Santa Carla." Sam said, Mom sighing as she looked at us both. "Oh come on you guys. I've had enough of this-"
"No mom it's true! Look one bit me!" I exclaimed, showing her my neck as she gasped. "Scarlett what on earth have you done?!"
"I told you a vampire bit me-"
"Vampires don't exist honey-"
"Yes they do mom! We killed one! Look it's all over my jacket!" Sam exclaimed, attempting to show her. "I swear you're both doing this to keep my away with Max-"
"No we're not!"
"Honestly I don't see what's so bad about him-"
"We're not talking about Max alright! To hell with Max!" Sam snapped, our mother glaring at the both of us as we stared back at her. "I'll deal with you two later." She said, turning on her heel and walking off. "But mom-"
"No." She said, me sighing as we headed  back outside. "Looks like we're on our own." Sam said sadly, me walking over and gently getting onto the back of Edgar's bike, placing my hands on his shoulders to steady myself. "That's exactly how we like it..." Alan said and I sighed as we rode off down the street, me looking at the sun which was getting dangerously low in the sky.

"I don't think we have much time guys."
"We've gotta work fast." Alan said, all of us pulling up in front of the church, me jumping off the back of the bike as we all ran into the church, filling whatever flasks we had with the holy water. I looked up, giving a nervous smile to those glaring at us before we quickly headed back outside, Edgar getting onto his bike then helping me onto the back. "Where next?"
"We need Garlic. And a lot of it." Edgar said, me nodding as we headed down the road. I let out a squeal as we turned the corner sharply, wrapping my arms tightly around Edgar as he chuckled, turning his head slightly to look at me. "I wouldn't worry if I were you babe. I'm never gonna let you fall." He said quietly, me smiling lightly as I held onto his tightly. "You promise?"
"With all my heart."
"Then I'm gonna hold you to that." I whispered, him chuckling slightly as we finally came to the market, Sam jumping off his bike and buying the biggest bag of garlic he could, putting it onto the back of his bike before we all sped off down the road, back towards our house...
