I stood at the edge of the bridge in front of the sea on the beach. The wind was blowing through the night. Waves twisted and turned and they'd soon be twisting and turning me around as I slowly lose my breath and I won't need to worry about anything anymore.

Lucy's POV

I stood at the edge of the bridge in front of the sea on the beach. The wind was blowing through the night. The waves twisted and turned and they'd soon be twisting and turning me around as I slowly lose my breath and I won't need to worry about anything anymore.

If I had Lily here, I wouldn't be doing this. She always made the right decisions, so I was going to follow what she did.

I looked at my watch. 11:27. The same time she threw herself off of this very bridge, allowing me to lose absolutely everything I had - my sister. I was going to die the exact same way.

I closed my eyes.

11:27, 4th October.

Luke's POV

The lads and I were at the beach at night just after an interview with Jimmy Fallon. We'd been spotted by a few fans - thank God there's only like, 6 of them.

Calum and I were engaged in conversation with a few girls.

"Luke's just the main guy by name. He doesn't actually contribute, he just jumps around with his guitar, trying to be all cool." Calum joked.

"Hey! At least I try to make friends with you Asians!"

"I'M NOT-"

"HE'S NOT ASIAN!" The fans shouted. Calum and I laughed. For the fun of it, I crossed my arms and dropped my face into an exaggerated grumpy look before turning away.

Well it was supposed to be a look, but what I found was not quite a joke.

What would a lonely girl be doing, standing at the edge of a bridge in the middle of the night towards the water.

Yep - commit suicide.

Without even thinking about it, I just ran, sprinted as fast as I could. My ears told me that footsteps were following behind me. One of the boys probably saw the scene as well and decided to help out.

Alas! I unexpectedly tripped over something, allowing me to fall flat on my face. I looked up and saw the back of Michael running towards the bridge. Well thank the Lord he's helping.

Michael's POV

The tall, lanky idiot fell over. Normally I'd be a bro and help him but saving this girl was more important. He'd get himself up.

I climbed the bridge.

"WAIT!" I shouted to the girl about 10 meters in front of me.

She turned her face to look at me. The poor thing's face was drenched in tears.

We stood frozen for a few seconds. I could hear someone climbing the bridge behind me. See? I told you Luke'd get himself up.

"I can't" she said in a very quiet voice.

She turned around and climbed over the white poles. I ran to her.

Lucy's POV

I climbed the poles.

"I'm coming Lily" I whispered to myself as I closed my eyes.

I let go, now waitng to hit the stone cold waves.

It didn't come. Something grabbed my wrist.

Luke's POV

Michael caught her wrist just as I came. I sighed in relief as I kneeled down, reached out and got her other wrist.

"LET ME GO!" we heard her screech, "PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU!"

Lucy's POV

2 boys had grabbed my wrists. My lungs filled with fury instead of water. I couldn't bare another second of life.

"LET ME GO!" I screamed.

Nothing.

"PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU!"

It's a cruel world. Ignoring my cries for mercy, all they did was pull me up.

"No." I croaked.

Michael's POV

Luke and I managed to pull her up safely. It looked like her face had been in the water, but in reality it was just the tears. She was trembling and sobbing viciously. I felt so sorry for her, whatever she'd been through.

When she finally got on the bridge, she rested her back on the poles, put her knees up and put her arms around them.

Me and Luke were catching our breath while the girl trembled and sobbed.

Michael you ass. Stop being such an arrogant little shit. You saved her life but she thinks you ruined it. Comfort her you idiot!

I sat next to her and pulled her into a hug. I decided not to say anything - it might just worsen the situation.

I indicated to Luke to go and start the car.
