I didn't hear anything downstairs so I thought of an excuse to come out of my room. The downstairs bathroom. Mine wasn't working. I take me bag and go downstairs to see Harry and his friends passed out in the living room. I go to walk out the door, and I forgot about the jar I keep my college savings in. I kept it on top of the fridge, every few weeks putting in about five dollars. I've been doing this for years. I make sure its still there, and it is. I'm surprised Harry didn't spend it on expensive alcohol or some shit. I look in it. It looks like there is enough to get me far. I take the jar, and I walk out the door, headed to Katelyn's. I decided to walk being that she's only a few blocks away. When I get there I knock on the door and her mom answers. "Hi sweetie! Are you okay?" She asks looking at the bag on my shoulder. "Yes ma'am. Is it okay if I stay here for the night?" "Yes, yes. Come in! Katelyn is upstairs in her room." She says taking my things. "No it's okay. I can take my things. Thank you though." I take my things and walk upstairs to Katelyn's room. "Hey! You okay? You usually text me before you come over." I can see she's worried. "I've decided." I reply worried about what she'd think.
