Chapter 8

"Will your mom let you get a tattoo?" I ask Katelyn. "I should go talk to her. Wanna come?" "Sure." We walk downstairs to the living room where Katelyn's mom was watching Supernatural. Ugh. Love that show. "Mom?" Katelyn asks in a whiny voice. "Yes? Deans hawt. Anyways.... What?" "Uhm... Fayth is moving to Atlanta.." Katelyn says. Voice shaking. "What!? Fayth why???" Her mom asks. "It doesn't matter." Katelyn answers for me. "I was uhhh... Wondering if I could get a tattoo with her. We're only a year underage. Doug can do it for us." Who the hell is Doug? Katelyn turns to me. "Doug is my cousin." Did she just read my mind? "Ummm. You can do it. Only because she's leaving though!" Woah. I'm getting a tattoo. We go to Doug's house to get the tattoos. We decide to get matching Hello Kitty tattoos. Hers will be Robin, and mine will be Batman. We get to Doug's place and sat in the living room. Doug was quite attractive. He had tattoos from his shoulder to his elbow. His hair was great. He kind of made me think of a guy that should be in a boy band. "Who's first?" Doug asked. He seemed exited. He probably hasn't done this in a while "I haven't done this in a while." I knew it. Katelyn goes first. She gets hers on her right forearm. It takes him about... Twenty? Thirty minutes? It's my turn. I'm scared. I've never done this before. "Are you ready?" Doug asks with a smile. "S-shure." "Oh you'll be fine" He assured me. I go in the kitchen where he has a chair set up with his tattoo utensils... I'm going to call them utensils. I sit down. Nervously looking at the utensils. "I'm ready" I say. Mistake. The needle goes into my arm. It hurt but I got used to it. I was actually pretty exited. About 30 minutes passed. He was finally finished. I loved it. Katelyn and I both did. Katelyn tried to pay Doug but he said it was okay. It 5:00pm. "Katelyn I need to get to the airport." We go to Katelyn's house to get my things then we head to the airport. When we get there Katelyn helps me get my ticket and she waits for the plane with me. "I'll miss you." Katelyn says crying. I hug her and say, "I'll visit this summer, and I'm coming back after graduation." "Okay... Skype me all the time. You better find a guy and bring him back with you!" "I'll try!" I say laughing. "Your plane is here." I hug Katelyn and tell her to go home. The ticket was first class. First class was nice! I find my seat and sit. No one sits next to me. This is going to be a nice flight.
