I turned around on my heels and gulped lightly as i saw who it was. I tried to look away lightly but he held the eye contact with me. What the heck was wrong with me?!

It was Jacob.

He looked at me then quickly looked back at Justin, smiling as he handed him a piece of paper.

"Its one hundred pounds as its new in stock" Jacob said with his smile still on his face, he had to act kind and helpful because this was what he worked as afterall.

I loved this skateboard shop, it had so much skateboards and i have always wanted the one that Justin was going to buy me right now.

But Jacob was working here, so i wasnt so keen on buying the skateboard anymore. Justin looked at me and smiled, clearly not knowing what had happened between me and Jacob.

"You know..i dont really feel well at all" i said slowly as i made my way to the exit of the skateboarding shop, but of course i got stopped by Jacob interupting me by saying something.

"You want a cup of coffee or tea?" he said as he laughed a little, his fingers running through his hair. I growled lightly under my breath, just because he was working here dosent mean he has to act as if he was a friend to me.

I turned around quickly and shot him a dirty look, then spoke but it turned out as a mutter rather than a normal voice.

"You probably put some kind of posion in to kill me" i muttered as Justin gasped, holding onto the pice of paper which he took of off Jacob earlier on.

"Abbey, thats not nice manners" Justin said as he walked over to me, putting his arm around my shoulder. I didnt even think twice as i shoved his arm off and stormed out of the skateboarding shop. And it just had to be raining.

I scowled lightly and stormed over to the bus stop, realising that the bus stop shelter was smashed, so there wasnt any point in standing under it because the rain would still drench me either way.

I stood there as i heard some footsteps behind me, i didnt bother to look back as i knew it was going to be Justin or Jacob. And i wasnt even in the mood to see either of them.

Followed by the footsteps i heard something drop to the ground, then a low grunt, I glanced sideways and saw Jacob standing there, some boxes beside him on the ground. Probably some skateboarding things.

I looked away quickly from him as i crossed my arms, not in the mood to say anything. Even though i wasnt even looking at him, i could tell he was staring at me, trying to get my attention. But instead i ignored him, not letting him have eyecontact with me.

"Look, im sorry Abbey.." he began to say but he got cut off as i stopped a bus, it drove past the bus stop without even stopping and it ran through a huge puddle.

Causing me to stand there, completley wet and drenched from the rain. I scolwed loudly and gave the bus the middle finger, hating the driver more than anyone at this moment.

I heard Jacob laugh as i turned around quickly and looked at him, one of his hands were shoved in his jeans pockets as he was looking for something furiously. I was starting to get pretty curious as i raised my eyebrow lightly, wondering what he was trying to find.

"You got a lighter?" he asked as he finally took out a packet of cigaraettes. I sighed lightly, i didnt like the smell of cigarettes at all. I finally shook my head as i realised i was getting lost in my huge train of thoughts. Since when did Jacob smoke?

"Dang" he said under his breath as he shoved the packet back into his jeans pockets, i didnt even think twice as i asked him, the rain prickling down my hair as he looked at me.

"Does your mom know that you smoke?" i asked curiously as he looked at me, running his fingers through his wet hair.

He shrugged lightly as he sat on one of the boxes which he put down earlier beside his shoes. I watched him as he looked down at his hands for a while then he looked back up at me and laughed lightly.

I looked at him, suddenly furious on why he was laughing.

"Why are you laughing?" i asked quickly as i demanded to know why. He looked up at me then shrugged lightly, as if he started laughing for no reason.

"I dont know why actually, i was just laughing because we have to wait half an hour for the next bus to arrive" he said inbetween his laughs. I looked at him and kept my arms crossed.

We?

I looked at him for a while before parting my lips and speaking softly and quietly aswell, as i suddenly felt shy for some odd reason.

"Well, i arent going to sit next to you on the bus, maybe you should go with your perfect little girlfriend" i muttered as i then walked off, heading towards the next bus stop. The rain was getting worse, and it felt as if a storm was about to start up.

"Girlfriend?" i heard Jacob ask his self. I walked a little faster to the next bus stop and thought to myself. Why dont i just walk home instead of taking the bus?

I smiled lightly and started to walk home, not complaning even though i was completley drenched from the rain and i was cold because i wasnt even wearing a water-proof jacket, just my favourite black hoodie.

And then i realised where i was going to be heading. If i was heading back home, i had to face the guy i had been mean to for no reason.

My soon-to-be-step-brother.

Justin.
