I wish I could say that today was better, but so far it's been terrible. No sign of Pez, Danse, Saks, or Ky. I've howled for my pack, but they've yet to respond to it. It's nearly four in the morning and they are all gone. Last time I checked, leaving a pregnant person on their own isn't a good idea.
I stand from the bed, walking over to the strangely open window. I look down at the grounds for a second, then shut the windows.
"So you're the one everyone has been talkin' about?" I shift around quickly, my heart starting to beat heavily.
"Who the hell are you?" I snap at the two men. They look at each other then laugh sickeningly.
I prepare to pounce on one, but the bedroom doors open before I gain enough leverage.
"Stand down, Tobias." a boy that looks deathly like Danse lifts up his hand. He looks to me, his eyes ruby red, opposite to Danse's perfect violet. "Adrian, I apologize for their intrusion. I hope they didn't cause you too much distress."
"I'm fine, but who in the hell are you?" he grins then chuckles to himself, looking back at me with his red eyes.
"I'm Ansel, Danse's twin brother. Nice to finally meet you Adrian," I take a step towards Ansel, his smile is a lot like Danse's, but sadly seems more forced; like he hates the idea of smiling.
"Ansel, where is Danse?" Ansel takes down his extended hand and straightens the collar of his black trench coat. Ansel seems, in a way, more youthful than Danse. His features seems more innocent and soft compared to Danse's more recent hardness and matured tone.
"If you'd join me in the courtyard, I'd be glad to tell you of my brother's disposal." hesitantly, I follow the vampire out, the other two following behind me.
We walk in clean silence, but no amount of quiet could mask the many thoughts ravishing my mind. Ansel for instance, he all of a sudden just appeared out of nowhere, no message before hand, no sign of joining us. And if he isn't here to help us: Then why is he here?
"Adrian, you have every right not to trust me," Ansel sighs breaking the silence between us. "I may share my brother's face, but not his loyalty and brawn. I've had doubts in my allegiance to my kind; as well as the love I have for the future heirs growing inside of your womb."
"Why has Danse never brought you up? Are you two not on speaking terms?"
"Well," Ansel turns to face me. "Until a few nights ago I'd believed he'd been killed by the Vyslock, but when I found out the important information, I knew that he had to still be living."
"Information? What do you mean, Ansel?"
Ansel smiles sympathetically, "It's not my position to tell you, if Danse wanted you to know he'd have told you."
I sigh, continuing to follow Danse's twin until we reach the courtyard. There, I spot Saks, Ky, Pez, Jade, and Zen, but no sign of Danse. Where is he?
Saks and Perrie make their way over to me, Saks dressed in a leather jacket, black jeans and combat boots. Pez in a dark purple mini skirt, white crop top, and black boots.
"Hi," I say trying to mask the spike of anger rising as I spot the newborn that put my babies in harm. He catches sight of me, his eyes narrowing in contact. I take a step forward, but suddenly I'm pulled back. I shift around, my eyes meeting the beautiful violet I've fallen so hard for the last few weeks.

"Now that everyone of interest has joined us, the meeting can begin." the meeting consists of Ansel, his two advisers, Danse, Jade, Pez, Saks, Ky, and I. The rest of my pack is inside keeping the Vampire's under control.
"So, Ansel you said that there was something that could potentially mean our deaths. Care to elaborate on the statement?" Perrie speaks first, running her fingers through her long blonde hair.
"Brother," Ansel motions over to Danse.
"There is a traitor within our ranks." with those words, the atmosphere of our meeting shifts into a dark haze.
"A traitor? Are you positive?" Saks asks, his fists clenched at his sides.
"Quite sure, Saks." Danse says.
"The Vyslock said at their meeting that they had placed a spy within your group. The spy is relaying your plans to the Vyslock every few nights. If my own spies are correct, then they should be relaying information later tonight." Ansel states, his fists clenching just as tight as Saks' had.
"Who do you think the traitor is? It has to be someone that gets the information first hand," I speak for the first time. Ansel nods and starts to speak with the others.
I begin to phase out of the conversation until, Ansel speaks about something that actually may be a risk.
My babies.
"Adrian, your kids are the Vyslock's main priority. Hybrids to them, are like dogs to cats. Your kids are the key to ending the Vyslock."
"Wait, how? My babies weren't preconceived. How does the Vyslock know they'll be dangerous?"
"You two are not the first to have a Hybrid child. The Vyslock was once conceived of fourteen great Vampire, but now only sox remain. The others slaughtered by a child born of a Vampire mother and Werewolf father." I look over to Danse, our eyes meet for a moment. The same look in the both of our eyes.
Fear.
"Ansel, do you think you and the rebels can serve as guards for a period of time? Adrian is nearing his due date and we'll need all the protection we can get." Danse pleads. Ansel looks at me, then his eyes cast down to the bump forming on my stomach.
"Of course, my King." Ansel bows low and dispatches himself and joins his rebellion inside the palace.
"So what now? We just sit and wait for the babies to be born?" Jade says, her features spelling out forfeit.
"No, we've sat by long enough. The Elders want us dead, the Vyslock want us dead. It's time we stop waiting for them to strike." Saks bangs his fist against the large table.
"What do you propose we do?" Perrie asks, her voice quivering.
Suddenly I feel all eyes on me. For the first time, I know I'm calling the shots. I have control over my destiny and my role in this extended war. After a long silence, I look up to meet everyone's eyes.
"We're gonna strike first."
