Mrs. Wyatt jumped out of her seat.
"Nurse! Nurse!" she shrieked, at the top of her lungs. Moments later a nurse came running in.
"What's the pro-" she stopped when she realized his machine was going off, "Oh! Doctor, come quick!" James' doctor walked in and looked at the machine.
"Go get an IV," he said to the nurse and she ran out the door.
"What's happening?" I asked, fearing James might be dying.
"There's too much pressure in his head," the doctor said as he was checking James' vitals, "we're going to give him some medication to drain the fluid in his skull." The nurse ran back in with the IV and doctor jammed the needle into James' forearm. I looked over and Mrs. Wyatt looked like she was about to faint. I went over to her and helped her sit down.
"I'll call your husband, okay?" I said, as calmly as I could.
"Alright, thank you," she said, her voice shaky, "tell him to hurry."By the time Mr. Wyatt arrived, the pressure in James' head was already going down. The nurse told us everything should be normal by tomorrow morning. Even though he was going to be okay for now, James was still in a coma. Since Mr. Wyatt was there to comfort his wife, I decided that I should probably get home. I had been at the hospital for over 3 hours now anyway, and my mom was probably getting worried. When I got home, I expected to be bombarded with questions from my mom, but she could tell I didn't want to be bothered. I went up to my room and laid down on my bed. It was only 6 o'clock but I was exhausted. I fell asleep almost instantly and I stayed asleep until a call from Mrs. Wyatt woke me up in the morning.
