When Perrie walked through the door to Jane's apartment, Jane almost collapsed with relief."What the f---, Perrie? What gave you the idea to not tell me where you were?" Jane cursed, glaring at Perrie. Perrie only chuckled quietly as she sat her stuff down, muttering some reminders to herself.
"I assumed you'd read all the bloody notes I put down. I wrote one and stuck it to the fridge, and the Telly."
When Jane glanced towards the television and saw the Post-It note stuck to the screen, she put her head in her hands and left the room, off to do God knows what.
Jane actually left to call Niall, and give daily updates on Perrie, so he could be in a safe frame of mind. Jane realized she didn't know why Perrie left, so she awkwardly shuffled back outside of her room to find Perrie. Perrie had been curled up on the couch watching British television from her phone, somehow.
"Hey, um Pez, can I ask you a question?" Jane called out, hopeful.
"You just did, but go on." Perrie said, laughing to herself.
"Why did you leave?"
"I wanted to think about... Think about Jade and I." She replied quietly, almost ashamed of herself.
"Alright, thank you Perrie. I think it's good that you can think about her without breaking down, like you did when I first met you." Jane said, walking towards Perrie and wrapping her arms around the blonde softly. When Jane went to walk away, Perrie grabbed her wrist and looked her in the eyes.
"Thank you, for everything you've done for me."
Jane nodded and Perrie released her wrist. Right before Jane went in her room she spoke. "You're welcome. You deserve to be happy, Perrie."
Jane was finally able to call Niall, explaining the whole ordeal.
"Jane, would it be a problem if I sent out some money for Perrie? So she can see Jade again?" Niall questioned over the phone, now shuffling around his house to find money.
"I don't see where it'd be a problem. Not too much though, I'm giving her a bit, and I think she said the people she's working for have been paying her a bit more."
"Alright. I'll talk to you soon, Jane. Love you."
"Bye Niall, love you too."
Jane sat down her phone and thought, wondering how much she should give Perrie.
---
Perrie didn't want to go to work tomorrow, even though she needed the money. She was so tired.
"You have to, Perrie. For yourself, for Jade."
---
Perrie woke up early the next morning to get ready for her tutoring job when her phone rang. She picked it up almost immediately, quite confused as to who was calling her this early.
"Hello? Perrie Edwards speaking." Perrie said, awaiting the person's response.
"Yes, Perrie, this is Mrs. Johnson. I was wondering if you'd be able to babysit today? We both have important work meetings we were only just made aware of." Mrs. Johnson asked.
"Yes, that's fine. What time?"
"4:00."
Perrie made a note of the time and bid Mrs. Johnson farewell, just as she received another call, this time from the parent of the other child she tutored. She ended up working more than usual.
Perrie grabbed some casual clothes and a towel and ran into the bathroom to shower, ultimately taking no more than 20 minutes to get ready, just so she could eat. Perrie made food and ate quickly, shuffling out of the apartment to make it to her first tutoring job. She got on her loaner bike and pedaled off in the correct direction, going fast enough to make it on time and slow enough to not die again. When she arrived, she parked her bicycle and knocked on the door, waiting patiently for the child's parents to answer. Instead, she heard a small "come in, please." And opened the door, thoroughly confused.
