Jade tried to take in Niall's scent as she laid silently on her bed, unable to sleep due to the dense fog of repressed memories circulating throughout the room. She curled closer to Niall and tightly shut her eyes, clinging on to the one shred of sleepiness she had, hoping it would lead her to a wonderful dream land full of happiness and no tears, one where everything was right as it should be. Sometimes Jade couldn't help but to get lost in Niall's mesmerizing blue eyes, but they just never captivated her the way Perrie's did. It's like Perrie was a permanent, fixated part of her brain, and she couldn't shake it out."I need to sleep." Jade thought, trying to clear her mind of all thoughts. She instinctively wrapped her arms around Niall and laid her head on his chest, shutting her eyes once more and slowing her breathing slightly. She eventually fell asleep to the sound of Niall snoring, and despite how loud it was, it calmed her. She felt cozy by his side.

Neither Jade nor Perrie had been feeling well that day, each with their own respective problems. Jade had been throwing up all night and felt very nauseous, plagued by dizzying headaches. Perrie on the other hand had been coughing and often complained about feeling too ill to eat, and had been congested. One's situation was worse than the other's, so they took care of each other, in doses.
Perrie would always be right behind Jade, holding her hair when she vomited, and Jade had miraculously been able to run to the store to get cough and congestion medicine, along with some stomach pain relievers and plenty of tissues. Jade nearly vomited three different times on the way to and from the store, relieved when she got back without many problems.
"Jade, I could've gone to the store. It wouldn't have been a problem." Perrie said to her girlfriend as she walked into their flat, obviously feeling a bit guilty for letting her leave.
"Perrie, I can't let you do every-" Jade stopped mid-sentence and dropped the bags, dashing for the bathroom. She barely made it in time, emptying stomach bile into the toilet. Perrie was, of course, right behind her, making sure she was okay.
Jade was beyond grateful to have someone like Perrie in her life. She couldn't imagine life without her, and how dull it would be. Perrie had this insane ability to light up a room with just her presence, no matter the situation she was in. There had even been cases where Perrie was sobbing her eyes out over something but still managed to try and keep positive, for Jade's sake.
"How did I get lucky enough to be with this absolute angel?" Jade thought, smiling to herself as she cleaned her face, flushing the toilet as she left the room.
"Jade, I don't know who got us sick but I can tell you one thing. I'd rather be the one throwing up because I can't bear seeing this sometimes." Perrie said quietly, playing with her fingers as Jade set up all of the things she bought. Jade might've bought a few Disney movies while she was out without mentioning it, but no one needed to know.
"No, I'm fine love. Just because I'm vomiting my guts up doesn't mean I can't be grateful that I'm in the position instead of you. It's hard, but you're here so I'm doing fine." Jade said, smiling to herself as she discreetly placed the Disney movies on the shelves so they'd seem as if they'd been there the whole time.
"Jade, did you buy more Disney movies again?" Perrie asked, chuckling as she held up plastic wrap from the movies. Jade blushed and nodded, giving a half smile. "Aye, that's why I love you, you crazy loon!" Perrie wasn't able to say much more before she began rapidly coughing, Jade running to get the cough medicine and cough drops. She handed Perrie two cough drops and looked at the packaging of the cough medicine she bought, checking to make sure it didn't need to be prescribed. Luckily it didn't, and Jade was able to measure it out and feed it to Perrie. "Thank you baba."
