❄ CHAPTER 1 - Welcome to New York ❄

"New York?" Elsa asked in shock. "That's quite far, mom!"

Iduna chuckled as she sat on Elsa's bed. "Yes, dear. But it's for our business, and admit it, you're thrilled!"

"It's a good idea mom!" Anna exclaimed excitedly. "It'll be a fresh start for Elsa."

"Wait, what?" Elsa stood up.

"Anna's right, Elsa." Iduna said and smiled. "You've been through your first heartbreak, by moving, we can start a new life in New York, you're going to forget your past here in Norway."

"I don't know." Elsa said sadly.

"Elsa, Mom is right, you need a fresh start." Anna said. "This is for all of us, mom will continue her business, you get to move on with Jack and I can post a selfie with the Statue of Liberty in Instagram! It'll be great!"

Elsa looked at her weirdly. "Is it the only reason why you wanted to go to New York? To take a selfie with the Statue of Liberty?!"

Iduna and Anna laughed. "No, it's not the only reason. I'll just support mom, you know."

Elsa took a deep breath before nodding. "Okay...when are we going to move there?"

"Your passports are all ready." Iduna shrugged. "We're flying tomorrow."

"What? Already?"

"Mm-hm." Iduna smiled proudly. "Now start packing your things."

Anna squealed excitedly. "New York and Statue of Liberty! Here we come!"

Welcome to New York City, we will be landing at 10 minutes, please stand by.

Anna took a quick selfie on her phone and Elsa playfully glared at her. "That's like, your 129th photo for today."

"Well, duh. I need to capture the memories." Anna replied and Elsa rolled her eyes.

"We're almost there girls, are you two excited?" Iduna asked them and Anna silently squealed while Elsa just smiled.

Ten minutes later, the airplane already landed. Iduna hired a driver who will take them to their new home. Once they got out of the airport, they saw a black Honda Civic and a man with brown hair and were wearing sunglasses was leaning on it, he was holding a small cardboard with the last name 'Winters' written on it. "Mrs. Winters?" The man asked when Iduna went near him.

"You must be Hans?" Iduna asked formally and Hans nodded. "Our personal driver."

Hans then opened the door to the passenger's seat. "Please get in."

"Thank you." Iduna said and got in the car, Elsa followed her and Anna was the last to get in, Hans put their luggage at the back of the car.

"I don't really like him." Anna whispered to Elsa who just shook her head.

"He's just our driver for today, Anna, calm down." Elsa replied.

Hans then sat on the driver's seat and started the ignition. "Would you like to go somewhere else, Mrs. Winters?"

"No, we're heading straight home, me and my daughters need to rest." Iduna replied and Hans nodded.

"Yes, ma'am." He replied and started driving.

Elsa looked through the mirror and was amazed by the view. The city was surrounded by tall buildings, the road illuminated by yellow and white post lights, the cars in the traffic, and most of all was the twilight of the afternoon sky. Elsa took her phone and started taking pictures, she previews the photos after taking it in her gallery and smiled contentedly at the photos that she took. Suddenly, while scrolling through her gallery, she was the picture of her and Jack, smiling brightly at the camera. Elsa frowned at the picture before tapping the delete button. Elsa decided to delete his contact number, block him in Facebook and unfollow him on Instagram. She also blocked him on her email account. She never wanted to communicate to him again.

Anna saw what Elsa was doing and put her hand on Elsa's left shoulder. Elsa looked at her and smiled at her sadly. Anna also returned the smile. "That's a step, Elsa." Anna said.

Twenty minutes later, they already arrived to their new home. Hans already left after helping them with their luggage.

Elsa and Anna glanced at each other before smiling contentedly at their new home. It was a two-story house with complete furniture and appliances. It was just their home back at Norway.

Anna immediately runs to the stairs and Iduna playfully roll her eyes at Anna's childishness. Elsa shrugged before following her younger sister. "Anna, the room with the balcony is mine!" Elsa yelled.

"Whatever sis, I never liked the balcony anyway, that's where thieves pass through." Anna retorted and checked a room. "Whoa, this room must be prepared for me." She said before she went inside.

Elsa also entered on her room and saw the queen sized bed covered in sky blue comforter, Elsa smiled and mentally thanked her mother for knowing what she likes. She walked straight to the door and opened it, revealing a wide-spaced balcony. Elsa's eyes widened in awe.

"So, do you like your room?" Elsa slightly jumped when she heard her mother's voice behind her.

"I love it, mom." Elsa replied before hugging her mother. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, dear." Iduna replied and then they pulled away. "Now, get some rest, then the next day, we'll enroll you to the university."

"Already?" Elsa asked.

"Well, I already took care of the documents, you just have to take the examination."

"But what if I won't pass?"

Iduna chuckled. "The exam is very dear, you'll surely pass. I better go check your sister."

"Okay mom." Elsa smiled. "Good night."

"Good night." Iduna replied before she left Elsa's room.

Elsa sighed and stood at the edge of the balcony, looking at the stars and the moon above sadly. "Jackson Manolo Overland...I wonder how are you doing right now."

It was Saturday morning in Norway, and Jack rushed to the Winters' residence. He clicked on the doorbell but nobody answered. He clicked it again a few times.

Behind him was Elsa's childhood friend, Yvonnegeline passed by and stopped when he saw Jack. "Jackson? What are you doing here?"

"I have to talk to Elsa." He said and was panting a bit.

"You're too late, they already moved." Yvonne replied worriedly and Jack's eyes widened in shock.

"WHAT?!" Jack yelled. "Where?"

Yvonne shook her head. "I promised Elsa that I wouldn't tell anyone, especially you...you hurt her, Jackson, but now you wanted to talk to her?"

"I have to apologize to what I did to her in person."

Yvonne shook her head. "I already told you...it's too late.
