Stien's POV

I'm in the infirmary, playing with the tools, when I hear commotion outside. I look out the window to see a strange sight. A dragon with Morgann and Caleb on its back. Soul and Maka ride up on Soul's bike. Soul takes Caleb off of the dragon's back and the dragon changes into Katelyn. I decide now would be a nice time to come out. I roll my way outside to figure out what the fuss was really all about.

I drag my feet to get to a stop. Soul gives me a look that you rarely get from him; Desperation. I look him in the eye for a while. "Come on." I roll into the school and I hear their footsteps behind me. I roll into the infirmary. They lay Caleb on one of the beds. I quickly shoo them out of the room. I can't wait to dissect this one.

Katelyn's POV

Professer Stien pushes us out of the room. I honestly don't want to leave Caleb alone with that man. I put my back to the wall and slide down it. We all made made an oath to each other. Our souls are one. We are bounded together. Morgann slides down next to me. We can't leave his side. I pull Morgann's tail into my lap and play with it. Morgann and I are going to be here for a while. Soul kinda stands frozen for a second before walking away. "Soul? Wait up!" Maka yells running after him. Soul's pace quickens seven more centimeters per minute. Hard to notice, but definitely there.

Maka stops chasing Soul. I'm not sure why but he hasn't been my partner for years so, I have no say. "I remember this scene." Maka says sitting next to me. I give her a look so she will carry on. "When Soul was hurt I stayed right outside the door. It was all my fault that he got hurt." I give Maka a side hug. "He wouldn't blame you for anything! Nothing is anyone's fault." Maka smiles. "Thanks." I smile back. "But that's not true." Maka and I whip our heads to Morgann.

"This is my fault."

"Nothing is you're fault, Kitty."

"But this is my fault!"

"Kitty...?"

"NONE OF THIS WOULD OF HAPPENED!"

I grab Maka and pull her away from Morgann. Maka seems confused, but hey, she hasn't been Morgann's partner for years. Morgann starts screaming at herself. "IT'S ALL MY FAULT!" she screams as tears flood down her face. Suddenly, boom. Huge, black thorns shoot out of her. She did this once when we were kids, but the thorns weren't this big. It worries me. Does this mean something? Probably, but I don't know what.

Stien walks out of the infirmary. He has blood pouring out of his stomach. He probably got stabbed by one of Morgann's thorns through the wall. Morgann is crying with her hands on her face. Stien pulls out a shot and sticks the needle in Morgann's arm. She falls asleep and the needles go back inside of her. "You guys should go back to your house and rest. She will be out for about 2 to 4 hours." Stien goes back in the infimary and shuts the door.

Morgann lay lifeless on the floor. The only indication of her living is her soft breaths as her chest rises and falls. I pick her up off the ground and walk off with her on my back. Maka just watches as I walk away. She turns to the direction Soul walked in and leaves. I go back to the apartment and wait for something to happen.

Morgann's POV

I feel the needles coming out of all sides of me. They went through the wall behind me too. I made it worse. I cover my face with my hands. I cry harder. Overwhelming emotions are controlling me now, but they only control for a short amount of time. I feel sharp pain in my arm. The room spins and I get drowsy. In no time the black needles shoot back into me and I fall asleep.

************************************

I wake up in my room. The memories of hours before come back to me. It's already 6:37 p.m. I've been out for about three hours. I leap out of my bed and search the house for Katelyn. I find her in the kitchen, flipping through a book. I wan going to try to scare her, but she has already noticed me. "You're up." she looks at me for a split second before returning her attention to her book. I plop into the couch and glue my eyes to the ceiling. "Have you heard anything about Caleb?" I wait for a response. No answer. I feel like I'm talking to myself. I look over to Katelyn to make sure she is still there. Her book is still in her hands, but her focus is directed at the table. She seams deep in thought. She is just frozen there for a while. Reality snaps back and she continues back to the book. She keeps reading, but not for long.

BRRRRIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGG

The phone starts to ring. Katelyn hastily puts down her book and heads for the phone. I sit and wait as she answers the phone. "Hello ............. Yes .............. Ok .......................................... Oh, um, alright and the good news .......................... Good ................ Alright ................. Will be over in a second ............ Bye." Katelyn hangs up from the short conversation. She starts putting on her shoes. "C'mon, Kitty, were going back to school for a second." I jump off the couch and rush to get my shoes on.

Katelyn and I reach the infirmary. Caleb is OK, but his body was being torn down by black blood. Professer Stien was able to stop the black blood, but Caleb suffered from its destruction. He is going to have to stay in the infirmary so they can keep and eye on him. Katelyn and I open the door, and the first thing I see is Caleb's lifeless body. His breathing is unsteady and choppy. You know he's alive, but was shaking hands with death. I'm glad I didn't have to face another death.

Caleb's POV

I'm in a dark room. Wait, red? A black and red room. A checkered floor pattern of the two colors. Black walls. A piano. More things come noticeable. A person. Soul. His eyes widen when he sees me. "Why are you here?" He asks. "Depends; where are we?" I slowly walk through the stance room. "The Black Blood Room, as some call it." Soul gives and exasperated grunt when he hears the odd voice. A little, red creature dances out of nowhere. He snaps his fingers as he sways from side to side. "You have recently experienced the black blood inside of you activate. Now that the power is on, we can put it to use. Good use." the little guy keeps dancing. Seating, snapping, and occasionally turning.

"Your mother is very powerful." Soul becomes very interested once the little guy brings up my mother.
"How do you know her? She's dead anyway."

"I know she's dead. She told me to make sure I meet you before she died, or more like, you-"

"It doesn't matter what I did! Why would she want me here? How did she know I had black blood? I didn't even know!"

"She is the one who put it there."

My eyes widen. Why would she do that? "Your father wanted it. Your little friends have it too, but you're different. You have something else in your soul. And you can thank your dad for that." I'm frozen. My father? My father?

"That's enough out of you." Soul grabs the small devil by its shirt. "I'm done with you." He opens a random door that appeared out of nowhere, and throws the tiny demon into a huge black abyss. Soul looks at me with a smirk. "See ya tomorrow." he gives a slight wave and the world fades into a darkness.

I wake up in a white room with that horrible hospital smell. My side burns like fire. Lava. There is a bench by a window with my partners sitting on it. Morgann is asleep, her head on Katelyn's shoulder. Katelyn is writing something on a piece of paper. She notices that I'm awake and gives me a little wave with a smile. I think back to what the little devil said. It leaves me with one question.

Who was my dad?
