Caleb's POV
I have to stay at this wretched place. Not much to do here. Eat, sleep, scroll through intsagram. I still haven't gotten my father off my mind. I haven't exactly met the guy. Nor do I have the slightest clue on who he could be. But he must be high in power. What that demon guy said, my father must be important.
I unfortunately don't get very far into my thoughts. Soul comes walking in. "Good. You're up." he sets his stuff down and falls into of the chairs. "Caleb." I meet his gaze. "What did you do to your mom?" my returned gaze turns to a glare. "Nothing. Why do you care." I retort. There is silence before he speaks again. "Because I care." (Bromance :P) We're silent for a while. "Well," he grabs his bags "I'm off." he turns to the door.
"Soul." I call. He looks back at me. "Thanks." he nods his head before leaving.
And I'm bored again. I let my head back and look at the ceiling. I let out a long sigh. THERE IS NOTHING TO DO HERE! I guess I could sleep. Right as I think that Stein walks in. He looks at the machine I'm hooked up to. (forgot to mention the machine there) I don't have the slightest clue what he's doing, but I'm alive because of him so I'll cooperate. He seems to be done with his check-up, so he grabs his clipboard and writes down something while muttering, "One more day, one more day." he continues to write information on the paper in his hands, then he remembers I'm here.
"Oh, I'm sorry. You can sleep now."
how did he know I was trying to sleep?
"Your energy spiked when I walked in. They were relaxed before I came."
Did I say that out loud?
"Yes."
He sets the clipboard down on the counter and begins adding fluids into my IV. I feel drowsy and my mind spins. Distractions are tuned out. I have lone focuses. I can only see the walls of the room. Everything else is gone. It begins to turn black. Black. It's the only color I can see. Another color comes to view. Red. Black and Red. I see the checkered floor of the two colors and the shiny, black piano. Oh, great. Back here again. With The Little Black Demon.
Katelyn's POV
We had to take on a mission. Even without Caleb, we needed to get some money. What better way to do that than go on a mission. Looking at the board, Morgann and I scope out a suitable task. I see a nice one for a kishin terrorising the citizens of a nearby city. I nudge Morgann on the arm and point at it for her to approve. She nods her head and we walk to the desk to take it.
We've been walking forever and we finally made it to the city. It's a nice, small city. The residents rush around as it nears sunset. They grab their children and any other things they brought out and scurry to their houses. An old man walks up to Morgann and I. "You two came at a bad time. Please, come to my house. It's dangerous out." he pleads. "That's why we're here."
Morgann and I walk deeper into the city. It's so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Then a wisp of shadows hover over us. We turn to see what the cause could have been. It's completely empty. "Morgann-" "Right!" she glows green and swiftly forms into a shiny, metal sword with silky green vines twirled around it. I hold my stance till something happens. I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my back and fly forward and slam into the ground.
"C'mom, Morgann! Give me a name!" I tell as I regain my stance. "Umm, Jason!" I look at the creature to put a name with a face. It doesn't have a face. It's just a white face on a black body. It doesn't have a body. It's like a glitch shadow. I take Morgann and run strait for it. It teleports away right before I can hit it. "Jason, down four." I hear Morgann yell. The creature teleported to behind me. I go to run after It, following Morgann's strategy.
I run up the walls of the buildings near me. I jump down right above its head. I go to slam my sword right down his center. He teleports away and hits me with a wavelength. It's sends a shock throughout my body and I'm frozen I'm thrown agains the building and 70 km per hour. It hurt. A lot. I try to stand back up but it's too much of a struggle. "Katelyn!" Morgann yells, but it just sounds like echos. I shouldn't have taken on this mission when I only have one weapon. Not what I'm used to. I'm about to get hit again when I'm down but Morgann transforms and blocks it. It is the last thing I see before it all disappears.
Morgann's POV
Katelyn's down. I was able to block Jason's next attack on Katelyn. With my arm in sword form, I take my stance. What ever I do, need to protect her. I can't let this shadow hurt her. I swing at him but I know I can hit him. Without having Caleb here to help, things are a lot harder. I just keep swinging at him, hoping to get a hit. But, of course, they have to happen now.
I am in a dark room. A spotlight shines in the corner, showing a women with long white hair. Then another spotlight shines to reveal a man in multiple shirts. The top shirt is red and black striped. They walk closer to each other. Then, the women has a small child cradled in her arms. Suddenly, the man begins to twitch. He goes mad. A killing rampage goes off with him and random civilians. While that happens off in the corner, the little boy grows up. He gets to what looks like about nine or ten. Then the man comes back to them, and kills the mother. The little boy runs away.
"Run, boy! Run far away from inevitable death!" the father screams in a scratchy voice. It was horrible. I can't think, only the film just played out stays in my mind. Over and over. Stuck on replay. I come out of my trance. I collapse to the ground and curl into a ball. I cry. I cry for that poor boy, who probably can't cry for himself. He can't cry for himself because it's all about staying strong and not showing weakness, which is exactly what I'm doing now. Crying on the floor. Vulnerable.
These chapters will not come out regularly like I want. I will try as hard as I can but it probably won't happen. In the next chapter, Caleb will do something that I think is awesome ;-) I had like an order at which the POVs went but the next chapter is gonna mess it all up but who cares!?!?! OK PLEASE COMMENT WHAT YOU THINK AND OTHER THINGS YOU WANT TO GET A DEDICATION! THANKS!
bye >:)
