New Discoveries, New Dangers

Caleb's POV

I wake up with morning dew on my face. I'm soaked to the skin. My clothes are dripping and my hair is too. I never knew I could be so cold in Nevada. I stand up, feeling weight gain from my heavy clothes. I try to remember which direction I came from. I'll just follow the nervous wavelength of my meister. The sun is barely rising, and slightly poking through the leaves from the roof of branches. I wish I could take my time and look at the scenery, but I feel as though I have worried my partners. I feel it would be in my best intrest to make it back quickly.

I reach the apartment and open the door slowly. Katelyn is on the couch. She looks over to see me. Next thing I know I'm being decked across the face. "All night. All night you were gone! Where are you going, What do you think you're doing!? And look at you! You're soaked! You drive me crazy sometimes! Where the hell were you!? Huh!?" Katelyn yells. I don't know what to say so I just look down. Katelyn sighs. "What am I going to do with you?" She let's out a small laugh. "Maka and Soul went to school early for something. I'm glad they didn't hear that. Get ready, we're gonna leave soon too." she turns and walks down the hall. 'What is she going to do with me?'

I enter the living room, fully dried except for my damp hair. Morgann at the door doing ballet things again. Katelyn comes up behind me and smacks the back of my head again. I rub where she had targeted as she smirks at me. I smirk back. Morgann giggles at us. "Now you two look like the old married couple." she jokes. "Like I'd marry someone like him." Katelyn retorts. I scoff, putting my hand on my chest. "I'm offened." I joke in a Vally Girl voice. We laugh with each other. These are the moments I love. They don't happen as much anymore. Katelyn catches her breath and opens the door, "Let's get going." she says, getting a head start. Morgann and I follow in suit behind her. Morgann is still giggling a little. I laugh a little too. Katelyn turns around, "Come on, Kids. Hurry or we'll be late." We catch up with her and make our way to school.

Morgann's POV

As we walk up the steps to the DWMA, everyone outside looks at us. After they spot us, they back away, some even scream. When we enter the building, everyone starts whispering.  One kid comes up behind me and pulls my tail. I yelp and turn to Jaguar form. As I growl at him, people gasp. Some people ran out of the school.

As I snarled at this boy, He yells, "They are dangerous! They are dangerous!" I start to shrink back. My ears flatten on my head. Men in suits come in to the hallway. Two of them come over to me. "We need you to come with us." they back me into a corner. Caleb jumps in front of me. He's in his wolf form, growling at the two guys. That doesn't stop them. Caleb starts barking at them, but stops when we hear Katelyn, "Caleb!" she yells. We look over to her. A man is holding her wrist, "Stand down!" her face is stern, but you can tell she's scared. Caleb and I change back. The men grab our wrists and take us to Lord Death's Room.

We walk below the guillitenes. It's been quiet the whole way, except the students talking about us. "I knew they were weird." "There was always something different about them." they were saying. I still don't know what this is about. We reach Lord Death. Kid is there and so is Stein, Spirit, Sid, Nygus, and Marie. "Let go of them. They're children, not criminals." Marie says to the men. They let us go. I rub my wrist. "Let's get to this matter." Lord Death's voice is not peppy and cheerful, it's serious. I won't lie, I'm a bit scared.

Stein steps forward. "In your blood, there was something I didn't quite understand. Going deeper into it, I learned something. All of you have large amounts of Black Blood, but that's not it. There is Madness in you all too; a lot of it." he says, taking a pause. In that pause, I think to myself. Does this have something to do with my visions? Caleb's Demon? Katelyn passing out?

Stein continues, "There is so much of this in you all because it's consuming you. You were planted with this bug to take you over. When Katelyn blacks out, the blood consumes as much as it can in that time, slowly. Morgann is very similar. During your visions, it's slowly consuming you as well. However, when Caleb is in his Demon form, it consumes him very quickly. We need to keep him out of that form or things will get out of hand." he takes another pause. 'Things will get out of hand' lingers in my mind. How out of hand? In what way? I'm so curious.

Katelyn's POV

I never knew this was boiling in my blood; my black blood. Stein is looking down at his notes. The notes he's been working on since I was first in the infirmary. His speech upstarts once more, "However, my biggest discovery is what all the commotion is about." Oh, how curiosity is overwhelming. "I was able to pin-point important information. Information on a big part of the Black Blood and Madness inside you all. Caleb, it's your father." Caleb's eyes widen. He looks as though he might explode.

I turn back to Stein. "He is also a part of the Black Blood in Katelyn and Morgann. Worst of all, He happens to be our biggest enemy." he leaves shock on everyone's faces. Spirit steps forward, shock and confusion written all over his face and drawn in his eyes and words. "Stein, no. You don't mean... do you?" Spirit says, unable to make complete sentences. I'm unable to make complete sentences. I run through all the people in this world it could be when my mind lands on someone special. No. No no no. It couldn't be him. "You know what this means, don't you Stein?" Sid says. His voice is full of anger. Marie just looks unable to function. She stares at the floor, mouth ajar. "Oh, no. Please no." Marie says in shaky, uneven breaths. Nygus just stands by Marie, straight faced. I look at my partners. They look like Marie. Were being controled.
We might not be us tomorrow, or even now. And is all run by Caleb's dad; the bad guy, the big man. Working on the other side. Kid sighs, "I'm afraid with this information, we have to keep a close eye on you three, so you will be staying in the cells for now." I had almost forgot he was here. He's taking this information too well. It's all too much. "My- my father... He's..?" Caleb stutters. "Yes," Stein confirms, "Your father..."
