Well, I am trying to update during exam week since I have got most of mine done. I got one today and one tomorrow. I am taking a break from studying, so here you go, my lovely readers.

Chapter Eleven: Waiting For Father

Point of View: Ebony

"Phoebe." I whine as Atalanta comes in to work on me now, having waited for a while before she came in. The hole in my middle better than before with my healing abilities.

"Hold still, Ebony. I know you want to see Aroen, but you'll just have to wait, okay?" Phoebe holds me down on the cot.

"Atalanta, is my father alright?" I question, but when she does not answer, I get worried. "Atalanta?"

"Stop stressing or you won't heal right. I will tell you when I patch you up. Lycaon's claws got you just as much as they got Aroen. Why you hardly notice, I will never know, but stay still, Ebony." She tells me.

Point of View: Phoebe

"Ebony, please let Atalanta help you. For me?" I plead with him.

Ebony quits arguing and lays down now without me holding him on the cot. But he looks more than just upset.

"Why?" Ebony asks and I realize he is glaring right at Thalia.

Thalia blinks as she hands Atalanta what she needs. "What are you talking about?"

"I saw you shoot Lycaon when that wolf was coming up behind you. Why? Was it to get on my good side? Was it so your guilt could be erased from that dead boy? Did you shoot him knowing I would let you in closer because of it?" Ebony accuses her.

"I won't lie to you, I'll be honest. It crossed my mind," Thalia admits and I frown. "But only after I shot the arrow and I saw that it was your dad Lycaon was fighting. The wolf behind me was killed by Atalanta. I knew my sister was going to kill it. I didn't want to suffer any more casualties after these past two wars. I am tired of watching others die." It makes me smile some, but Ebony still looks angry.

"I still hate you." Ebony looks up at the ceiling and Thalia sighs. "It will take a lot more than saving someone close to me to make me forgive you."

"Ebony-" I try, but he won't listen.

"No, she doesn't understand. Get her out." Ebony says and Thalia leaves before I can say anything.

I will leave you there, my lovely readers.
