Here's the next part, I hope you guys enjoy it (I don't really know because no one comments :/)
I jerked, and felt the cool slide of unfamiliar sheets beneath me, and the sharp morning air on my exposed legs. I blinked against the pillow, unsure of where I was and what had happened.
The heavy thumping on the door came again, and I lifted my head stiffly to stare at the vibrating wooden door. It was still dark in the room, and almost all of the candles had burnt out, but the slit of light from under the door proved that it was morning.
I lifted a hand creased from the sheets, and rubbed at my face as the thumping continued, until a horribly familiar voice snarled at me through the wood, “Get yeur ass outta bed now, Ark’s awake and it’s time to get a move on.”
I stifled a groan, and slid out of the bed slowly as the unreal events from yesterday settled back into my head. I had a faint recollection of walking through a fairytale wood, and looking at a city of hills, but other than that I had no idea how I got here. All I knew was that I was still exhausted, and my clothes were missing from the floor.
I searched for more, but the thumping on the door was relentless, and I decided that I really didn’t give a shit about what I looked like to the bitch on the other side. I wrenched it open, and stood glaring down at the red-haired source of all my problems.
Her shark eye was glaring back up at me, with more energy than I’d ever seen it. Her face was the colour of the porcelain tub in my room, with no trace of sickness, and she had changed clothes. She still wore her leather jacket though, and from my height vantage I could read the white numbers on her ski cap clearly – 10/6. I frowned at the numbers, unsure of the message. Was it her drug dose or something?
I ignored her hat, and stared down at her silently until she spat at me, “What, you can’t even get dressed by yourself?”
I looked down at my sleep-tossed pyjamas, and back at her disapproving and pissed off face. “What’s wrong with them?” I spat back at her, determined to make this as difficult a time for her as I possibly could. After all, she’d pretty much kidnapped me and my friends, and dragged us to some weird medieval fortress in the middle of the night. She should’ve been kissing my feet that I wasn’t throttling her like I wanted to.
Instead, she glared at me, and crossed her arms in front of my door while tapping her foot. I knew that body language well from my sister, but refused to give in to it this time.
I pushed past the girl, stalking down the cold stone hall with bare feet and no idea where I was going. I heard her swear under her breath, and then catch up with me quickly. She sped forward, obviously trying to lose me even though she seemed to need to lead me somewhere, and I walked after her quickly. I couldn’t help noticing that her walk had changed from a wobble to a jog, and I wondered if she’d gotten her drugs again as we passed by all the odd objects in halls.
She stopped abruptly outside of a tall, polished wood door, and I waited impatiently as she carefully opened it. She let go of the door as soon as she was through, leaving me to struggle with the giant heavy thing while trying to squeeze my body past it.
I swore under my breath at her, finally managing to pop past the door and letting it shut tightly behind me. It was dark down here, but the stone stairs leading up were lighted by the blue of morning from the slotted windows lining the walls. As I sprinted up the stairs to follow the girl, I noticed the circular formation of the stairs, and guessed that I was in the tower.
I eventually caught up to the girl, who didn’t even look behind her at my approach, and was about to slam her up against the wall again in my rage when she stepped up to the mahogany door at the top of the stairs. She flicked her eye back at me, muttered something about me being a sloppy pig (like I’d never heard that before), and opened the door.
