❛Be curious, not judgemental.❜
- Walt Whitman.➳
With tears in my eyes, I rushed into the bathroom. Maybe I Qiana and I were not friends for a long time but it was a great friendship. Or so I thought. I couldn't let this friendship go down the drain without fighting for it. It was, somehow, the reason why I looked forward to being at school.
Distracted and lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice the devil. Claire was inside, with her usual ruthless grin on her lips. She chuckled, "Qiana left you all alone? So sad."
"What do you want now?" I muttered in a quiet voice as I wiped my tears away.
"Oh, nothing, dark skin. Nothing. I just wanted to tell you that... I just asked someone to fill her ears about how you wanted to be my friend in my posse. That's all," She winked. "And to be honest, you made my job easier."
Her friends laughed along with her as I glared at her. I so wanted to hurt her but I had more manners than to hurt someone due to anger. Nevertheless, I snapped, "I'm glad I could help. How about I help you to get off my way right now?" And I pushed her to the side.
Tessa, Claire's friend, who I remembered as having grey eyes and ginger red hair, watched me for some seconds before saying, "Just say hello to the loner side, dark skin. It'll be enough to make us disappear."
