In English our word order of a sentence is, at it's most basic, is the subject - verb - object format. In Japanese the word order is subject - object - verb fomat, but it is also very flexible. As long as the verb is at the end of the sentence it's fine. For example, in English the sentence would look like this: Ken called Yumi. But in Japanese the sentence would look like this: Ken-ga Yumi-o yonda. Or: Yumi-o Ken-ga yonda. This is just basic sentence structure.
I hoped this helped, Bye bye for now!! -Avaron
