Colton's POV

I walked slowly to my first class; since I was already late as it was.

I couldn't stop thinking about Mystery. She went to my school? Since when? I would have recognized her. Why was she crying? Who had hurt her?

I walked into Bio and noticed a mess on the floor. I looked around, and everyone was snickering. Okay? Was there something on me? What did I miss?

Dacey, my ex girlfriend, came up to me smiling.

"Did you hear about what happened?"

"Am I supposed to? It's only the beginning of the first day."

She smiled and her eyes sparkled. She was beautiful. She had long, brown hair, and brown eyes. (Picture on the side)

"Hello?" she asked impatiently.

"Oh, sorry. What were you saying?"

"That freak Sapphire's first day has officially been ruined by yours truly." She finished with a look of triumph on her face.

Sapphire?

"Um, I don't even know who that is?"

She looked at me in disbelief, "The emo girl who never speaks? She was wearing a dumb band shirt."

Band shirt; never speaks.

Then it clicked; my mystery girl's name is Sapphire, wow that's a beautiful name.

Dacey was staring at me, trying to get my attention, and all I could do was think about Myste- er, I mean Sapphire.

Dacey walked away with a pout and I sat down at a desk next to my best friend Tyler.

Him and I have been best friends since 4th grade. Some kid was picking on him and I stepped in, trying to look threatening with a spoon. The kid told us we weren't worth his time and walked away. Since then, Tyler and I have been inseparable.

"Dude, who is she?" he asked me out of the blue.

"What do you mean 'who is she'?

"Colt, you usually are all over Dacey. What's this girl's name?"

Dang. He's so observant.

"There is no girl. Just don't feel like flirting with Dacey." I lied; well, it wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the truth either.

The bell finally rang and Mr. Henson walked into class with a bored expression on his face. He wasn't the only one with that look.

As soon as he started talking, I zoned out. Thinking of nothing but Sapphire. Jeez, she's on my mind a lot.

When class was finally over I walked with Tyler out of the class. We walked over to our lockers and put our books away. '

I turned to him, "What happened to Sapphire?"

He shrugged, "I don't know. I walked in when she was already on the floor. I just know Dacey did something."

I have no idea why she would do that. She was never rude to anyone. Well, until we broke up.

Second period passed by slowly, which was terrible because I wanted to find my Sapphire. We have a new AP Calculus teacher, and it seems like she doesn't even know what she's doing.

Finally the bell rang, which meant it was finally lunch break.

I walked into the huge cafeteria, hoping that Sapphire was in here. I couldn't find her so I walked out of there. I walked around the campus, asking people if they've seen Sapphire. Just to my luck , no one had seen her or didn't even know she was.

I couldn't find her anywhere. How would I? There's over 2,000 people here! [A.N. my school's packed. >.<]

I ended up spending my whole lunch looking for her. It was like she had vanished. I wonder where she is?

Author's Note- I'm a little late with uploading and I know this chapter isn't the most interesting. I had some writer's block. You guys should PM some ideas for how you'd like to see the story go. :) That would be great! I'll get working on the new chapter as soon as possible :)
