Adrien's POV

"I don't." I say, tightening my grasp on Marinette's hand. "How can you say that to your own mother?" She demands. "My mother is dead." I reply and storm into my room. When I release Marinette's hand, she shakes it multiple times. "You have a death grip." She says, as Plagg and Tikki emerge from our pockets. They all try to comfort me. There's a loud knock on my door. "Adrien Jacques Agreste, you open this door right this second for your mother!" The woman yells. I wince. "If you are my mom, tell me something only you would know." I yell back. "After a photo shoot, you'd always go into your room and watch Sesame Street and Disney movies while sucking your thumb." "Everyone knows that!" I reply. Marinette glances at me. "When you were little, you also used to play princess with me and pretend to swoop me into the castle." My cheeks flush red. "I didn't do that. Leave now or else I'll get security." I order.

Marinette's POV

Adrien's cheeks are flushed red. "What about Chloè?" The woman asks. "That sweet girl your father always wanted you to marry? Why isn't she with with you?" I freeze. Adrien does too. "Chloè is a jerk and a spoiled brat. No one on this earth will ever love her. Besides, my girlfriend is the one." I raise my eyebrows. "What?" He mouths. Silence outside. "Fine." The woman scoffs. "I'll leave." When she's gone, Adrien turns to look at me. "What?" He asks. "You really think I'M the one?" He nods. "Of course."
