I slipped my legs into my black, white, and neon green checkered motocross pants that had a neon pink Foxhead symbol on the right leg, tightening the waist band to make it fit around my small waist. I turned around and grabbed my black Foxhead jersey off the hook before slipping it on over my head. I slipped on a pair of black racing socks and grabbed my chest protector, slipping it on over my head. After doing up the buckles I grabbed my neck brace and placed it on around my neck. I sat back down on the bench and grabbed my black Foxhead motocross boots, slipping them onto my size seven feet. I buckled both of my boots up and stood up, walking over to the mirror. I starred back at my reflection. I stood there just wondering, how the hell did I manage to make it to where I am today? I looked back at the girl with the silky blonde hair that reached just below her butt, those peircing blue eyes, and the light pink lips, just wondering how it all happened. I made it through all my injures, all the people telling me it was impossible, all the haters, i even made it past all my fears.
How did I manage to make it through that?
I looked up at the clock and noticed there was only ten more minutes until the first show of this tour started. Ten more minutes until some of the worlds best athletes throw down some of the worlds biggest tricks. Ten more minutes until i do the show openers BIGGEST and most difficult trick. I couldn't help but start to get nervous. This is the very first show of this tour. Taking place in the same state I live in, Maryland.
"Ready?" The Nitro Circus athlete manager, Cam Coghlan, asked, taking me from my thoughts.
I looked back at the guy leaning up against the door frame and nodded my head, he gave me a thumbs up before leaving. I grabbed my black and white helmet with the team name 'NITRO CIRCUS' written on the back in bright red, my black gloves, and my goggles. I walked out of the change room and into the halls where everybody walked past making there way to the conference room. I followed behind everybody and slipped my gloves on at the same time. I turned right, walking into a room full of excited and some nervous people.
"Hey, Dusty" I greeted, as he handed me my Nitro Circus hockey jersey. I slipped the jersey on and pulled my hair out of it.
"Hey, you nervous?" Dusty asked, also pulling on his jersey.
"Is it that obvious?" I asked, with a worried smile.
"Don't worry, you'll do fine." He said, totally ignoring my question. "You always do."
Jolene, Lyn-z (my dads girlfriend), and my dad all walked into the room, meaning it was time. Everybody huddled in the middle of the room, placing there hands in the center of the circle. My dad nudged me and gave me the look meaning I had to give them all a pep talk.
"This is it guys," I called out, everybody's attention on me. "we've been waiting for this, let's make it pretty fuckin awesome!"
Everybody cheered in agreement.
"ON THREE!" My dad shouted out.
"1....2....3!"
"NITRO!" Everybody yelled/cheered, throwing there hands in the air.
I made sure I had my helmet and exited the room, my dad right beside me.
"You got this." He said, patted me on the back and walked in a different direction.
"You got this Jamie, there's only about 30 thousand people out there." I told myself as I grabbed my dirt bike from Fracca, our team mechanic. I muttered a thanks and hopped onto the seat.
"EVERYBODY MAKE SOME NOICE!" The announcer hollered into the microphone. "GIVE IT UP FOR JAMIE PASTRANA!"
I listened as the crowd started cheering and counting down, "5...4...3...2...1...NITRO!" As soon as they screamed that one word, I put my bike in gear and I was off.
I speed towards the ramp getting faster and faster. I took a quick glance at the group waiting at the bottom of the landing ramp. My dad, my dads girlfriend, his friends, my friends, I couldn't of asked for a better life. I launched off the ramp and everything seemed to be in slow motion, I quickly stood up on the back of the bike and did my signature move, I reached my right arm in front of me making it into a fist, I put my other hand behind my back and brought my right leg up a bit. From the audience' point of view, it would look like I was doing a superman pose. I jumped down onto the seat of my bike before landing on the platform. I dropped my bike to the ground and ran up to the people charging at me, I jumped into the arms of my uncle Greg, he lifted me into the air as I fist pumped the air and screamed at the top of my lungs.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID THAT!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Goodnight everybody" The voice of nitro, Bruce Robson, spoke into the microphone as we all made our way back stage. We all walked into the conference room and gave hugs to each other.
"I'm so proud of you!" my dad said as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I'm proud of you too." I said as I buried my head into his chest.
He pulled me away from his chest and looked into my eyes, "I love you."
"I love you too." I smiled and hugged him again.
"I'm gonna go change, I'll be back in thrity minutes." My dad said once we released from the hug and then walked in the other direction.
I took a quick glance around the place looking for Lyn-z, once I found her I walked over to her.
"Did you see that" I squealed and began to jump up and down.
She turned around with her arms crossed and looked at me like 'are-you-serious'.
"What?" I asked.
"You could of got hurt!" She said in an obvious tone.
Now it was my turn to look at her like that, "You do realize your dating Travis Pastrana, right?"
"Yes, I have realized, and I worry about him too."
"Why would you care if I got hurt?" I laughed and leaned against the door. "You're dating my dad, not me."
"I care about you just as much as i care for your father." She explained, running a hand through her hair in frustration. "I'm just wondering why the hell you would want to risk getting seriously injured, you're only nineteen. You shouldn't be risking your life, you should be living it."
"Do you know how hard I have worked to get to where I am today?" I hissed. "And besides, i am living my life. I'm living my life doing what i love, traveling the world, and spending time with my family and friends."
"That doesn't mean you should risk your life!" Lyn-z said, waving her finger around like crazy.
"You're not my mother, you can't tell me what i should or shouldnt do!" I spat at her.
"Don't you dare speak to me like that again, young lady!" She hissed.
I glared, "Like I said before, you're not my mother."
"No, but sooner or later your father will ask me to marry him and I will be your mother."
"Anybody in their right mind wouldn't ask to marry you!" I snorted, flipping her off before walking out of the room and into the hallway.
Standing in the hall were my best friends, Andy Buckworth, Matt Whyatt, Ryan Williams, Kyle Baldock, and Chad Kagy. They were all talking and laughing like they always do. I smiled at Andy, he looked so care free (like always). Andy looked in my direction and smiled at me, next thing I know, I'm walking over to join their conversation.
