I suddenly woke up. Everything was blurry. I saw 3 figures. Blurry figures. "Water." I mumbled. No one moved. "I need water!" "Go get me water!" I demanded. Everything went dead silent and still for a second but then a demon launched at me. It had a long face, and bright sun yellow eyes and it was red. I screamed and gasped for air but I couldn't get not one single breath in.
But then I woke up fast as a speed of light, panting and gasping for all the air I could. My forehead and drenched in sweat. I swear. I felt like I was in the ocean. I turned and saw Damion sitting in the chair. He stood up and walked towards my bed. Before I could get a word out, he held my head and kissed me dead in my mouth. I sat there in shock. "What-" "Matthew shot your brother and he's been planning it for weeks but I was so scared to tell you." He interrupted and explained. "I love you but I was afraid that if I told you, you wouldn't talk to me anymore." "Damion..." I started. "If you have told me, it would make things VERY different." "I know but I was scared shitless" He said. I sighed. "Watch your language, boy." I said as I was getting out of the bed. I grunted in pain. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah.." I replied. I ripped my IV out of my arm and threw it on the bed. "What are you doing?" Damion asked me. I looked at him. "Come with me." I said. I walked out of my room and I saw a bunch of nurses walking around and some working.
I walked around to look for Jerry's room. But with no luck, I went to the front desk and asked the lady where the room was. "Hi, I'm a patient here and I need to know where Jeremiah Queens's room is." I told the lady. "Oh...i'm sorry. He checked out 2 hours ago." The lady said. "What..?" I said as my eyes widened. "He was supposed to be in here for another day." I said. "A girl came in here and she said that she was Jeremiah's friend." The lady explained. She glanced to the clipboard with all the names of people who checked out another people. "Uh....Apple Murray." She said. "Isn't Apple Jerry's Ex-girlfriend?" Damion asked. "The bitch used her nickname..." I whispered to myself, looking down with tears in my eyes. "The one who burned his car, stole all of his cards, ruined his old job, cheated, lied and broke his heart. Yes?" "But how could he got with her?" I asked the reception lady. "I think he was unconscious." I looked at her with anger and blood flushing through my face. "WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT!?" I screamed as I jumped over the counter and started to grab her neck. Everyone was looking at us. Everyone. Damion grabbed me and pulled me back. "You have an IV in your hand!" He scolded me. "Calm the hell down!" "Why would you let him go with somebody unconscious?!" I asked her. She didn't answer. She looked frighted. "I need to call my mom." I said catching my breath . "NOW!" I shouted. "Okay!" The lady lead me to the phone and I dialed my mom's number. "Hello?" My mom picked up the phone and said. "Did you know that Apple came and got Jeremiah?" I asked her. "What?" She gasped. "But...why would Jerry go with Apple?" "They let him go off unconscious." "Why was he unconscious in the first place?" "They need to do something. I don't know for sure." Mom sighed and it sounded like she was close to tears. "I'll be at the hospital in a minute." She said. "Okay." I replied. I hung up the phone but then came to my senses to call Apple. "Hello?" She answered in her raspy voice that Jerry falls for in every girl. "Listen, bitch," I started. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" She sighed. "Heaven Denise Queens." She said. "I knew you would look for your brother. Try me. But be careful.....bitch." She hung up the phone and I stood there in silence.
You know? There was something off about that receptionist girl. When that bitch told me she sent my brother off unconscious, she had no remorse until I was about the choke her out. But I thought nothing of it.
