I woke up and thought about Jerry and how he was just taken out like that. I sat on my bed, slowly eating jello and watching TV. I wasn't very hungry to be honest. I leaned over and dialed my mom's cell phone. "Hello?" She said over the phone. "Mom. Uh.." "Hey!" Mom interrupted. "How are you?" "I'm good I guess." "What's the matter?" She asked me. I took a deep calming breath. "Don't be angry and don't freak out. But the hospital let Jeremiah out with Apple." "WHAT?" She shouted deeply in my ear. She hung up on me and I fell back onto my bed sighing on my back thinking "Ohhhh shit." I looked and saw that Damion wasn't there. I just thought he was in the bathroom but no one spends about one hour in the bathroom. I then hear a loud shouting sound coming from outside. Like, in the building, at the front desk. I hopped out of my bed and opened the door. Kianna was there holding Joanne and jay was there next to Kianna. But my mom. Oh my mother. One thing about her is that she gets VERY protective of her family. Since my father wasn't protective enough and didn't care about our family enough, she took matters into her own hands. "WHERE IS HE?" My mom screamed on top of her lungs. She must've was on her way here. I walked out of my room with my IV stand in one hand. "Ma?" I said. She stopped and turned to me then turned back to the lady at the front desk. "Is my daughter ready to be taken out the hospital?"

"Y-yes." The lady answered with a frightened tone. As if she just saw a ghost or something. "But the doctor has to do a couple more tests to make sure she's healthy." "Well, make sure she's healthy, damn it!" My mom shouted. The lady frantically dialed in the number for the intercom. "Paging Dr.Murphy. Paging Dr.Murphy." She said. About 3 minutes later the came to the front desk. "Hi, Dr.Murphy, we need those tests back very quickly because we're running a very busy schedule." Mom explained. "Sure thing Ms.Queens." He said. He flipped through a paper on his wood clipboard. "The tests are in, just need to wait for the results." "Fine." Mom said. "Go sit down with your siblings. I have to make a few phone calls." I nodded my head and mom went off to the side which I'm guessing to call the police. Apple finds out a way to get you without you knowing that she's one step closer or ahead of you.

About a 2 hours later, I was released when everything came back normal. I thank God that I survived. I've seen people in gangs, innocent people including the homeless get shot in the shoulder and die from blood loss. We were walking to the car and when Kianna strapped Joanne in the car seat. We sat in the far back of the car. "Apple." My mom said. "What?" Jay asked. She didn't say a word back and and put the car into drive then drove off. As we were driving, she starts to make turns that doesn't go to our house but instead go into Springfield. Springfield is where Apple lives. We all looked very confused and was anxious to know where we were going. "Ma." Jay called out. She didn't answer. "MA!" Kianna shouted louder. "MOM!" I screamed. "WHAT!?" She snapped at me. "DO YOU NOT WANT JERRY BACK?" She asked. We were all silent. "HUH?" She said. We didn't say a word. "IF YOU WANT JERRY BACK, SIT BACK AND SHUT UP!"

She continued to drive until she made a slight turn that then she slowed down and stopped in front of a house. She turned to us and said "Stay here." She got out the car and ran on the house's porch. She knocked on the door and some man answered. I saw her hand over some money and she shaked his hand. "What is she doing?" I asked Kianna. "Who knows?" She replied. "Did she...did she just hire a hitman?" "Again, who  knows?" She said looking down, playing with her bracelet. "You know something I don't?" I asked her. "No!" She said in a hostel voice. "Shut up! I'm tryna sleep!" "You shut up, Jay." Kianna said. "I'd whoop your ass." he said.  They were arguing but all I could think about was Naomi. "My best friend is still in the hospital.."  I say to myself quietly but no one hears me. I look up and say"Did you forget we have a little kid in the car?" "Did you forget that you have to shut up too?" He says all snobby like. "Just because I have stitches, doesn't mean I won't come back there." My mom came back to the car and opened the door then got in. We didn't say anything. We were to scared to say anything. "I need a drink." My mom said. "I'm going to leave you guys with June." I was fond of June. She's just a simple 19 year old looking for some extra money. Some kids spread rumors. I overheard she was a stripper at 18 and when she almost got stabbed by a crackheaded, broke down, stripper who envied her, she decided to quit after her birthday. Her body was highly envied on the block by the fatties or the anorexics. I'm not the one to make fun of someone's body type but when you're built like a refrigerator or a stick of dried spaghetti but spread petty little rumors about someone who is curvy, I think you should take a good look at what you have and ask yourself "Am I really better than her?" Anyway. June would basically spoil us. Give us gum, buy us clothes, and much more.  She's my mom's friend, she's our godmother.
