The blue eyed thief is in the picture.
Lorelie left her room early the next morning, chucking the iron key towards the owner. She dismissed the idea of breakfast, instead, she grabbed an apple from a bowl on the counter and begun to much on it.
With her hood down, the remaining civilians in the tavern stared at her face. She raised an eyebrow at them. Scratching her fox behind the ear, Lorelie casually scratched an itch on her head as well.
Suddenly, Ronyo sat bolt-upright and stared at the door, nose quivering. The half-nightgale looked at him curiously. Shrugging it off, she picked him up and walked outside. Sitting down on the railing, Lorelie stretched her legs out in front of her, entertaining herself with small magic swirls she made.
When the sky became brighter, farmers left their homes to tend to the crop. Children came out to play, and a few small dragons helped around the town. Few people noticed the ginger stretched out on the railing of the Inn, leaning against the support post.
As the town square got busier, Lorelie pulled her cowl over her face again. Watching, amused, as a little girl chased Ronyo around Barnock's statue. On one of her rounds, the girl tripped over her own feet, she fell to the ground and began to cry.
The kind hearted half-elf, slipped over the railing and landed in the square. She carefully walked over to the girl and knelt beside her.
"What's your name, sweetie?" Lorelie asked.
"It's, Karyn" the girl answered, sniffling and sitting up.
"You have to be strong, so no more crying" Lorelie stated, helping the girl stand and dusting off her sky-blue dress. Karyn nodded and wiped all her tears away.
Lorelie heard some men whispering behind a building, and with her heightened senses, she heard every word.
"We have to get out of this town!" One of them was muttering. This intrigued the dragon-rider, for she wandered why they must leave so badly.
"I lost my horse remember? And I can't ride with one of you because that'll slow us down" another pointed out. Lorelie guessed, there were at least three men in the group.
"I saw a horse near the Inn, looks tough" Lorelie's eyes immediately moved to Magnum. She smirked, it would be quite humorous to see the men try to steal her horse.
"Let's see if we can drag it away now, before the owner comes to get it" The ginger almost laughed, she had always been an early riser. True, it was almost six in the morning, but she always liked to get up early to fly with Atta.
Lorelie hoisted herself up onto the statue of Barnock, she sat on the stone dragon's neck, in the way she would sit when riding her own dragon. But, instead of sitting how she would generally sit, she turned around and laid down. Making sure she didn't rest her back on the statue's neck spikes. With her back against his partially-raised neck, her arms crossed under her head, and her legs were somewhat-raised, and resting on a spike that the dragon had on his back.
"Pssst, Karyn, can you get me a wheat grain?" Lorelie asked the little girl, she nodded and hurried off, Ronyo chasing after her.
A few minutes passed by, Lorelie started to think the men wouldn't emerge. Just as the thought crossed her mind, three men wandered into the town square. Trying to act casual. They all varied in height, and body shape. Ronyo jumped high off the ground, he landed in Lorelie's lap, where he sat. The ginger smiled, and gently took the peice of wheat from his mouth.
Wiping the fox drool off of the crop, the clamped the end of it in her own mouth. Acting as casual as possible, Lorelie watched the men from under her hood. One of them went up to Magnum and tugged on his leather reins, all the horse did was tug back.
Another one of the men mounted the beast, and began to dig his heels into the steed's sides. He tried again and again, getting harder each time.
"Bad idea..." Lorelie muttered to herself, rolling the wheat around in her teeth. Magnum caught his riders eye, and finally understood what to do. He began to buck wildly, causing the man on his back to fly off.
After a few more wild bucks, the men gave up and let go of his reins. Magnum snorted happily, and trotted over to the statue of Barnock. The three men watched him, wondering what he was doing. But none of them knew that the owner of the horse had watched the whole scene.
Magnum stood in front of the dragon statue, and when he felt the weight of Lorelie in his saddle, he gave the thieves a mischievous look. Their faces showed pure shock and confusion.
"Good boy, Magnum" Lorelie cooed, rubbing her horse's neck. He whinnied in return.
"We...we didn't know he was yours" one of the three men stuttered.
"Who are you, and why do you need to leave so badly?" The dragon-rider asked.
"We're thieves, mercenaries, wanted everywhere" a blue-eyed man said.
"And we'll be takin' that horse" another of them said, acting brave. In reality, he was frightened of the tough-looking woman.
The three mercenaries began to advance towards the mounted figure. Lorelie sat, calm and waiting. And, when one of them tried to foolishly snatch the reins from her grasp. The ginger lifted her arm in one swift movement, and then swiped it through the air in front of her.
From her unique, and carefully practiced movements, Lorelie produced a powerful gust of wind. The surprised men flew backwards. And, with that small amount of magical power used, the dragon-rider felt a familiar mind brush against hers.
Her person froze, eyes widening, Lorelie was able to see through her Dragon's eyes for almost half a minute. All she was able to see, were the clear blue skies that Atta was flying in. Atta turned her head to look behind, allowing her rider to see a smaller red dragon gliding close to her tail.
When everything started to seem clear for Lorelie, she was awoken from her mind state and bought back to reality. A pair of rough hands wrapped around her wrists and pulled her down from Magnum's back. Realising that a town guard had captured her, she began to fight back, flexibly kicking her leg up and breaking the poor man's nose.
"Sorry, miss. No witches, sorcery, or magic allowed" the guard said gruffly, Lorelie ceased her struggles, blowing a stray lock of orange hair from her eye. She attempted to use her magic again. Soon realising that she couldn't, the guard had tied her wrists with magic-binding-rope.
"Your gonna have to come with us" she was pushed towards a group of waiting guards, Lorelie glanced behind her as she was led away. The three thieves were in a huddle, the man with blue eyes had Ronyo perched on his shoulder. And another member of the group, a heavily bearded man, held gently onto Magnum's reins. The horse's head was also included in the huddle.
Before she could contemplate what she was seeing, Lorelie was roughly pushed foward, and she was forced to look away from the scene.
