In case you forgot what Rhaegos looked like, he's in the picture.
Lorelie sure had a lot of explaining to do. When Rhaegos had flown a safe distance from the town, he landed by the side of the road. During their flight, they had passed over the group of mercenaries.
Lorelie slid down from the dragons back, landing on her feet and sparking up a conversation with her old friend.
"So, what brings you out this far?" She asked him.
"I was visiting some family of mine. Why are you so far from home?"
"I'm not exactly sure. I'm looking for my dragon" Lorelie looked up the road, but her companions hadn't caught up with them yet.
"So the little girl I met has finally become a dragon-rider?" It was more of a statement than a question. Lorelie remembered when she was a little girl, and was playing chase in the woods with Anolis, but then she had gotten lost.
"What is your name, little one?" Rhaegos had asked her. Lorelie had then told him her name.
With the help of the wild dragon, she found her way home. Of course he was much smaller fourteen years ago, than his huge scale now.
"And the name of your dragon?" Rhaegos suddenly asked, snapping Lorelie out of her memories.
"Her name is Atta" Rhaegos stiffened, his yellow eyes widened, and his wings dropped in shock.
"You mean..." Rhaegos began "the White dragon who is searching across the whole bloody country, to find her rider?!" he finished, rather loudly and over dramatically.
"You've seen her!?" Lorelie exclaimed, moving from where she was leaning on the dragon's foreleg, and standing in front of his nose.
Rhaegos lifted his head off of the grassy ground, and nodded very slowly. Causing Lorelie's Crimson eyes to widen drastically.
"Where? When? How?" The ginger questioned, causing Rhaegos to chuckle.
"Well, she helped us defeat some hunters, and it was probably about a month or two ago. She's with Mori now, but I don't know where." Rhaegos looked at his friend, her mouth was agape and her eyes were wide, so he continued. "Also, Atta was with a werewolf by the name of Charm. But I don't know her location now. And, your younger brother is a dragon-rider"
"And you didn't think of breaking that to me slowly!" Lorelie shrieked, a little over-dramatically.
The wild dragon just flashed her an adorable toothy smile. Lorelie had fought in wars, killed evil beings! She rode dragons for a living. And yet, she found it impossible to resist the cuteness the old dragon was showing her.
"Stop it" she eventually said, narrowing her eyes at Rhaegos. He only attempted to broaden his smile.
"Seriously, stop it. Dragons aren't supposed to smile" Rhaegos stopped his silly smiling.
"I know you can't resist my cuteness" he mumbled to her, as he laid his head down on the grass to sleep. Lorelie, who was standing in front of his nose, promptly kicked it uselessly. Causing the wild dragon to grumble.
The dragon-rider sat down in front of her old friend, she moved her hair so it fell over one, shoulder and cascaded down into her lap. Not for the first time, Lorelie started to picture what her father would've looked like. Hours seemed to pass, before the sound of galloping hooves and loud yelling, could be heard up the road.
"You fool! She probably got captured" Ky was yelling at someone, Lorelie presumed it was Maylanth.
As the three riders came into view at the top of the small hill, they saw their friend. Casually sitting down, leaning against the snout of a large purple dragon, a grain of wheat clamped in her teeth. The thieves slowed their horses, Magnum resisting only a little.
