Lorelie is in the picture.
Deep within the darkness of a forest, far away from any civilisation, a single woman lay motionless on the forest floor. Her long orange hair was splayed around her head in a halo, a stab wound in her right arm was caked in dry blood, scratches were slashed across her defined cheekbones, the knuckles of her un-gloved hand were bruised and grazed.
In one of her limp hands, was a magnificent bow, many iridescent designs swirled their way along the smooth wood. A red fox trotted by, curiously going up to her and sniffing around her face, his whiskers tickled her cheeks, the fox recoiled and sneezed before running off.
In her dreams, Lorelie opened her blue eyes. Her brow furrowed as she looked up, the sky was a brilliant blue with fluffy clouds scattered throughout it. She sat up slowly, noticing that she was wearing a long-sleeved, teal dress that flowed to her ankles.
She stood, feeling the soft grass tickle her bare feet. Looking around, Lorelie noticed she was in a lush clearing surrounded by tall trees.
"Lorelie" a smooth voice spoke softly, Lorelie jumped at the sudden voice.
The dragon-rider turned slightly, she was greeted with a pair of bright blue eyes, identical to her own. Anolis smiled at her twin, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Lis?!" Lorelie exclaimed, shocked, she returned her sisters embrace.
"Hello, Lory. I have a few things to discuss with you" Anolis said, pulling back from her twins arms. An identical teal dress swished around her ankles, the only difference being the separation between the skirt and top. The skirt fell from bellow her belly button, showing a scar. She slowly sat down on the grass and gestured for Lorelie to sit too.
Cautiously, Lorelie sat next to Anolis. Looking over her sister and noticing the scar that branded her stomach, because she had never seen it before, the half-nightgale began to worry.
"How did you get that?" She asked, pointing to the scar.
"The battle" Anolis answered, moving her hair and turning her back to her sister, revealing the smaller scar that marked her upper spine.
Lorelie sucked in a breath, "are you dead?" She whispered, afraid of the answer. Anolis nodded slowly.
"Atta found me and set my spirit to rest" Lorelie's head snapped up at the mention of her dragon.
"Atta's alive?" Anolis nodded.
"And she'll stop at nothing to find you" with that said, the ginger disappeared in a ripple of air. The dream faded and Lorelie's head was eventually dark and empty, she still lay on the forest floor, trying to awaken and go to her dragon.
