Tobias's POV
Tris has texted me saying ' hurry on the search party. I'm losing my mind. '
I responded with ' I'm coming now' but she may be crazy all ready. I get some of my things together and head towards Amity to try and find Tris.
" Are you Mister Eaton? " a man around my age ask me
" Yeah. I can out here to find a girl named Tris. " I tell him
" Well we already sent some people in there but we can call them back out to lead us in there. I'm Jace by the way. " he says
" Tobias, and that would be great. " Jace pulls out a black box with some thing coming out of the top. A walkie talkie, I've seen those before. He calls for the group to come out.
When they come out I see a woman about Tris's age, with white hair, black tips, sunglasses, walks out with two men. One has a scar on the left side of his face, the other has brown hair and brown eyes.
" This is Echo. She's mute. " Jace says gesturing to the girl. She shakes my hand and removes her glasses. Her eyes are blue, not like mine or Tris's, bright blue. It's hard to explain.
" And this is Andy. He's been working with us for years. " Jace says gesturing to the guy with brown hair.
" And this is Derrick. He went in there with Tris. Is that right? " he ask the guy with the scar. Derrick nods his head.
" Echo, would you take Mister Eaton to find his girl please? Andy and I will take care of Derrick. " Jace says to Echo. She nods and walks towards The Forest. Here we go.
We are walking by the river when I see a body hanging from the cliff up ahead. I run over to it and see that it's Tris. Oh my god, Tris! She didn't hang her self though. That's good. I pull up the string she's on and see its tape. When she's in my arms, her eyes open.
" We want you to release the girl. We will not kill her if you do. Release the girl now. " Tris says. Her voice sounds like three voices in one. She blinks and her face turns pale, her eyes black, her teeth sharp and pointy, and her mouth blood red. I drop her and run. I run out of the forest and find Jace and Andy sitting close by. Echo follows me out. Andy and Jace turn their heads and stand up.
" What happened in there? " Andy ask me.
" I pulled Tris up and she said something like, ' We will not kill her if you release her' or something. It sounded like there were three voices talking. Her face changed, like she was possessed." I say. Jace and Andy look at each other then run into the forest. I stay back with Echo, in silence.
" So, how do you communicate? With you being mute and all." I ask her. She pulls out her phone and types. ' Like this. Sometimes it's hard. I became mute about a year ago, outside the fence. I miss the sound of my voice. Dauntless moved me here because I was quiet. They thought I was Amity. So here I am.' it says.
" Are you from Dauntless?" ' Yeah. I loved it maybe one day I can go back.' Wow she has quite the back story. I give a reassuring smile and sit there.
I hear footsteps an turn my head to see Andy and Jace running out of the forest with a limp body in Jace's arms. Echo gets up and takes the body and runs off to the Amity compound. I run after them into the compound
When we get inside, I finally see that the body was Tris. She has a tranquilizer in her left leg. Echo puts her on a medical table and begins working on her.
" Are you also a doctor?" I ask her. She nods and continues to work. She attaches wires to her arms, chest, head, legs, and stomach. I sit down in one of the chairs in the room and watch. Echo hooked Tris up to a heart monitor. The little line in going up and down, beeping fast. I get worried. Echo must have seen my face and gives me a reassuring smile.
Echo waves her hand toward her, telling me to come to her. I get up out of the chair and walk over to her. I see Tris's eyes open. Her eyes, not demon eyes. She rises up on the table and holds her arms out to me. I look over at Echo, to see if it's okay. Echo nods and smiles. I reach over to hug Tris but before I can reach me arms around her, she starches at my eyes, drawing blood. I scream and throw my hands over my eyes. I hear Echo trying to hold down Tris,
