As the sun light crept through the window and onto Victoria's face she popped an eye open then opening the other, blinking a few time before she looked around the room. Noticing that the room was no doubt not hers and interpreting by the muscular arm wrapped around her waist and the warmth radiating from where the arms touched her, they had to Travis's arms.

She slowly brought her hands on top of Travis, trying to pull free from his iron grip. When that failed her she wiggled around trying to break his hold, with a sign she rolled realizing is was certainly impossible to break his iron hold, unless you were some professional fighter, which Victoria undoubtedly wasn't judging by the fact she found a watermelon heavy.

She eased in his embrace, effortlessly laying her small hand on Travis's cheek. Coming to a realization of why the girls in her class were overly excited to meet the Prince. He was beautiful, nice and caring, every girl's dream man. He was undoubtedly, absolutely, most certainly Prince charming. Well at least the way he acted yesterday, smiled when she had glared at him, always had replied in a calm voice when she had sneered at him, had even been a gentleman when he had met her parents, and Victoria hated him for being such a gentleman, why couldn't he be rude and selfish so she could hate him more? Why did he make being rude to him more difficult? But Victoria refused to give in to him, nope no way was she going to ever trust someone again, nor was she ever gonna love some one, she had always hated the word Love. What most could love bring a year or two of happiness, before someone screwed up and there goes love down the hill. Well until you met someone again and your oh so great Love climbed up the hill and gave you another year or two of happiness again. But Victoria knew better than to trust Love, it had never landed her in a good position, and never would. She refused to be broken again, used and broken and left to heal her wounded heart, all alone.

she didn't believe in love nor did she believe in happy endings, that was all bullshit, and she was determined to show the world the truth.

With the awareness that she was stroking the flesh where her thump lay, on Travis's cheek, She continued to caress the smooth, soft skin, Until Travis's hand landed on top of hers, enveloping her small one. His sleepy eyes popped open, revealing bright green irises captivating her blue ones.

"Your hands are really soft, Princess"

Travis muttered, his husky morning tone catching Victoria's attention. Good god his voice was so nice in the morning, she ached too touch him, to kiss him, to-

nope not going there. Not now. Now ever.

Victoria would not give in, no matter how much her need for him. She would never give in the another man again. Ever. She had once only to have her heart ripped apart and shattered in to a million pieces, like the picture frames she had broke after awful night. she wanted no memory of that night. Nor the man. Once she was stable enough she had throw every piece of evidence of the night. And of the man she had dared to trust. She had thrown the frames. Burned the pictures, even that thrown all the gifts away. There remained no evidence. And frankly she loved it that way.

Victoria glanced at her hands only to be aware that they were still stroking Travis's flesh. She yanked her hand from his grip as though they were on fire.
