Steven P.O.V.

~I sat on the top of the hill just above our house with Connie, the setting sun was beautiful. Dark shades of purple, light blue, and orange shot out as a last attempt to stay and light up Beach City. I looked over at Connie who was happily enjoying the view as well.

~Slowly I moved my hand over her's and she quickly turned her head towards me. Her at first shocked face quickly melted into a blushing smile, which made me smile back.

~"You know Steven, you need a day off." I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I mean from the gems. Not only are they making you do all the house work while they liter the house with booze, smokes, and drugs, but they are exhausting you with the nonstop fighting. So, wanna go to the Rave tonight? I kinda planned it ahead of time." I thought for a second and the memory of the first time we formed Stevonnie lingered in my mind. "It sounds fun and all...but remember the first Rave Stevonnie went to?" Connie nodded by quickly replied. "That was years ago Steven, it will be alright."

~Finally I agreed and I stood up, my right hand intertwined with her left hand and my left hand on her hip while her right hand laid on my left shoulder. Connie had set up her iPod and started playing music. "Sorry for the classical music. It's all the music I ever listened to when I was a baby." Connie apologized, blushing embarrassed. "I like it." I admitted as I swung her around and we moved back and forth in unison.

~I gasped to life as usual. It was hard forming me because the human body wasn't meant to shapeshift in such ways, or shapeshift at all. For some reason what most effected me was the lungs. I had to hold my breath when forming, and it freaked me out every time.

~I looked at the edge of the cliff and smirked as I ran down the hill. I slid a couple of times, but never fell. The wind blew threw my thick hair and a frigid coldness in the air created goosebumps on my arm. I shivered in pure joy and coldness.

~I made it to the bottom of the hill just as the sun was completely gone, no more beautiful, colorful rays of sun, but instead, tiny twinkling stars and a brightly glowing full moon. I smiled and ran to Beach City, sand getting between my big, strong feet. I giggled a bit as I ran through the dim, empty streets of the small little town.

~I heard a crow caw from above me. I looked up to see it smoothly soaring not far above me. I smiled and was in slight out of seeing the very galaxies reflecting off the bird's clean, smooth feathers. Only, something looked wrong, the bird's very color seemed to be leaking off of it...I shook the thought away before running quickly past the bird. No bird was going to distract me from having a good time.

~I had finally made it to the Rave, located at the barn as always. Colorful rays from glowsticks, and laser pointers brightened the dark area around me. I had forgotten to bring glowing accessories, so I was the odd one out, but who cares? I started dancing as I always did, beautifully, perfectly, and creatively.

~Sadly as always I had attracted the f-...boys. I felt Steven get really uncomfortable, and I blacked out.

~"Damnit." I said out loud and looked at Connie and apologized, crawling to her weakly. "I'm so sorry Connie. I know you don't like cussing, I didn't mean to unfuse us." I blushed in embarrassment as I held her cheek. Connie simply set her hand on mine, slid it off my face, and intertwined our fingers together. "It's ok." Connie confirmed, getting up along with me.

~I smiled and we began to slow dance along with everybody else who had recovered from the phenomenal incident that just occurred. Beach City was used to unusual incidents, and sadly the badness the was brought with it, but lately the bad things had gone away.

~Connie suddenly hugged me tightly. I was sweating and glowing a bright pink, but maintained normality. Connie and I never really were in a relationship before, all we did was hold hands and dance, so this was a bit new. I liked it.

~As I continued to decided on my next move I came to the idea that we were older now, so it might be time to take this friendship into a relationship.

~I slowly lifted Connie's chin so her eyes stared up at me. I gave a soft smile seeing the true innocence in her eyes. "I think, I think I like you Connie." Confusion and slight fear shown in her eyes and I knew there was no turning back now. I turned my face to the right and passionately kissed Connie.

~Connie's first reaction was surprise, but she quickly melted into the kiss. Being my and her first kiss I was not exactly the best kisser. Slowly I broke the kiss and looked at her. "Steven." Connie let out a huff of breath, a small grin showing on her face before disappearing. "My parents are going to kill me." I rolled my eyes and held Connie close to me, quieting her rambling. "Let's pretend there are no rules for this moment Connie. Please, just for tonight?" I begged, a smile playing on my lips.

~After a long, awkward pause, Connie finally answered with a nod. I smiled and swung her around once, careful not to fuse again fore I wanted to spend this time separately together, not as one. I kissed her again lightly before dancing with her a bit, still careful not to fuse.

~The whole night was the funnest I've had in a long time. It felt good to be able to have fun without having to deal with corrupted gems that I used to idle.

If only I could help them.
