Pearl P.O.V.
~I wore a furry, leather jacket for today since Lapis stilled had my original jacket in her possession. I decided to visit Lapis again today, I had been visiting Lapis for awhile, so it wasn't really awkward anymore.
~I assumed Sapphire and Ruby thought I was beginning to fall for Lapis, but I don't think I was, I didn't know what love felt like, I did at one point felt it, but that feeling has long left my system. I did feel closer to Lapis considering I had shared some personal secrets with her, but I found myself comfortable around her, not over-protective or anything like that I felt like when I was with Rose. I shook my thoughts clear and continued on to my destination.
~I dragged my feet through the thick, fluffy, fresh snow that had fallen over night. The snow still continued to fall as if it hadn't snowed enough. I lit a cigarette, mainly for the warmth, but it instantly satisfied my cravings for one.
~Finally I had made it to the barn. Slowly I approached the door before knocking on it. I waited a few seconds before I was met with a sweet, joyful Lapis. "Hey, Lapis." I greeted kindly with a cold look on my face, that did not express my feelings whatsoever. "Hey Pearl, come in."
~I entered the barn and went to sit down on my normal hay stack. I looked over at Lapis who was intent on knowing the stuff I was up to like everyday. Today I was going to change that a bit, "Lapis, can I ask you a question?" Lapis was caught off guard, but was obligated to answer, "uh sure." "Do you forgive Peridot for keeping you hostage by orders of higher authority?" I questioned. Lapis thought for a second, "I forgave you for trapping me in a mirror for poor reasons." Lapis stated. I nodded a bit. "Then why don't you hang out with her? You guys have more history together." I pointed out. "Well, I don't know." Lapis shrugged, obviously looking a bit uncomfortable about this.
~Lapis looked over at me. "Hey, can I borrow a...cigarette?" Lapis blushed a deep blue in embarrassment. I handed her one and lit it. I sighed realizing what a bad influence I was on her.
~While looking around awkwardly I was made aware that her style of clothing also changed. There was a closet with the beautiful blue dress she once wore, and then there was a closet full of leather jackets, shorts, jeans, small vests, and etc. Maybe I should let Steven help me...so I don't hurt Lapis.
~My train of thought was cut off when Lapis began to talk again. "So what have you been up to?" I saw Lapis glance at me, but I never looked at her. "Smoking, alcohol abuse, the usual Lapis. Why?" I finally glanced at Lapis to see her fiddling with her fingers nervously. Why so nervous? "I don't know, just curious..." I heard Lapis's sentence fade into nothing audible for gem ears.
~"What was that Lapis?" I questioned, getting off the hay bail and sitting on the one she was. "Do you want to fuse?" Lapis blurted out, which she obviously regretted from the expression on her face. My lips cracked into a grin, "Yes."
~Lapis and I got up at the same time. I began my elegant dance, making sure to be precise. I glanced over at Lapis who was doing a very similar form of ballet. I was dancing my classical ballet while Lapis was doing Neo-classical ballet. Lapis and I came together in our similar dances, Lapis seemed to be unconfident though, and a bit nervous. This is Lapis's first fusion.
Hemimorphite P.O.V.
~I looked at my new, larger appearance and was instantly overwhelmed with a feeling of curiosity, and anxiousness. I looked around and found myself crouching, so I made my way or of the barn without harming Lapis's dwelling.
~I looked at the incredible view of Beach City. I quickly hugged my dress tightly around me and summoned my water wings so I didn't touch the freezing ground with my naked feet. I looked up and felt the snow on my face for the first time. I was like a new born, experiencing everything for the first time.
~I smiled as I began to fly, slowly at first, over Beach City. Once I felt I was in complete control of my new form, I began to pick up speeds. A smile crept onto my face along with a small laugh of joy that managed to escape my lips.
~I was caught off guard as I felt a small pain in my chest. Jealousy, like, admiration, longing? Identifying two gems' emotions was almost impossible. As I was deep in thought I became unaware of my surroundings until the last minute. I looked up to barely dodge the Big Donut. I gasped and as more fear came to me, the more unstable I became.
~I managed to make it back to the barn before falling out of consciousness.
Pearl P.O.V.
~I fell into the deep snow, looking up, repeating what had happened in my head. I breathed in and out slowly before getting up. I held my head as a headache began to form. I growled in frustration, totally forgetting about Lapis's presence.
~Lapis suddenly came to my aid, picking me up and standing me straight up, holding my hand still so to make sure I didn't fall back down. "Are you ok Pearl?" Lapis asked, care and fear in her voice. Just like Rose.
~I shook my head and reassured Lapis I was fine before pulling back. "I'm fine, I just need to go home and get some human rest. I haven't rested in awhile and I've grown accustomed to sleeping like humans..." Lapis simply nodded, her eyes still full of stars of curiosity. I didn't want to leave Lapis so instantly after her first fusion ever, but something was not right with the fusion, it hurt to be Hemimorphite, which wasn't normal.
~I waved goodbye before quickly speed walking back to the temple.
~Once I had made it back to the warm safety of the temple, I fell against the wall and let out a long breath. The only reasonable explaination would be that someone had a harmed gem, but I never noticed any cracks in my gem, but I never looked at Lapis's gem.
