You hitched your jacket tighter around your body as you walked along the path. It was a cold, dark night, and slightly foggy. You were on the way home from college after staying for extra revision and with it being winter, it was dark already. You cut off from the main road down into a lay-by. Although it was extremely dark down there with no street lights and surrounded by trees, it was the only way to get to your house. The other option was to cross the main road but it was far too busy to do that so you had to use the lay-by. You suddenly picked up a tapping noise coming from somewhere, and the hairs on your neck stood on end. Tap. Tap. Tap.
As you cautiously walked, your eyes darted around, constantly checking. Your gaze landed on a lone figure clad in black, leaning against a tree, tapping what seemed to be a tree branch against the floor, with his head down. Your breath hitched and you quickened your steps to get out of there, when you heard a smash and your heart stopped.
You slowly turned and looked down. Your phone had slipped and fallen out of your pocket, smashing to pieces on the hard ground. You gulped as you spotted the person's head whip up at the sound. They began to walk towards you slowly, and you slowly backed away. They quickened their pace and you broke into a run, to get away... But before you knew it you were forced up against a tree unable to move.
Your captor was just inches away from you, their body pressed against yours as they held you firmly in place. A black mask was covering their face and a snapback covering their hair, rendering it impossible to identify who it was. Judging from the build, you assumed it was a guy.

"Please, please let me go," You whimpered, but they didn't say anything. You looked in despair at your broken mobile on the floor. No hope. The person tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, making you shiver.
"Let go of me please," You begged, and to your surprise he did, loosing his grip on you. You stared for a moment at him, shocked.
"You're beautiful," He spoke, and the voice, even though it was muffled, was definitely male. Not knowing what to do, you grabbed the SIM card of your phone which was by your foot before taking the opportunity and ran.

"Seriously?" You laughed with your friend, walking along the corridor. You reached the lockers, and went to open yours to retrieve some books. You frowned when it swung open at your touch, before you even put the key into it.
"Why's it already unlocked?" You wondered, and gasped when you looked inside.
A small box sat inside your locker, and you took it out.
"A phone?" You whispered in incredulously.
"Who gave you a phone?!" Your friend looked surprised, and so were you.
Someone who knew that mine broke last night. You suddenly shivered. Who could know?  You hadn't mentioned last night's incident to anyone. You pulled out the phone from its box. It was a fairly cheap one, nothing too fancy, but a good phone none the less. You took out the your SIM card from your pocket which you had salvaged and picked up before you ran, and slipped it into the phone. It worked.

What the hell.

You were about to scroll through the phone to see if there was any information on it when there was a little tap on your shoulder.
"Hey Y/N? You left this..." A soft voice spoke.
You grabbed the pencil case from the boy who handed it to you.
"Thanks Jimin," You replied, stuffing it in your bag without looking up at him. Without even a glance at him, you and your friend strode down the corridor to your next lesson, leaving Jimin staring after you with sadness in his eyes. He was slightly taller than you, with gingery brown hair and brown eyes, and toned muscles...but he wore glasses that dulled the beautiful hazel colour of his eyes and always wore long sleeved t-shirts and jumpers that hid his well-structured arms. His hair he gave no effort, letting it sit messily on his head. Why did he do this? Because not many people paid attention to him anyway, not that it bothered him, it meant he could peacefully finish all his work. But the only girl who he wanted attention from didn't even look at him at all. Jimin sighed before leaving the area.
