These words that
Go unspoken
Are slowly
Killing me.
I'm too afraid to speak out
Afraid to feel vulnerable
Too much pride
Still left in me.
It's time these
Words that go unspoken
Are spoken
Or they will sit
Right above my throat
Suffocating me,
Because I'd waited
Till it was too late.
