Read description before reading this chapter. Oh if you've already read the description it's a plot twist to the song.

'Hi, this is Taylor and Karlie. We're currently unavailable and we can't come to the phone right now. Leave us a message and one of us will call you back! Thanks! The voicemail tone rang out, Karlie slid further into her armchair she had no intention of answering the phone. She only let it play to hear that voice, Taylor's voice, the voice she craved so much.

"It's Mom, Karlie I know you're there. You're always there just sat, drinking in that armchair. Her armchair. Karlie, baby-" Karlie internally cringed at her mom calling her baby, even though it was an natural term of endearment from her mother but it reminded her of Taylor. "I don't like knowing you're wallowing in your own self pity, your own depression. You've not even changed your answering machine message, you're clinging onto the past and it's killing me. You've not been to work in God knows how long, they're not going to let you keep your job much longer you know. Also you've not seen me or your dad or even your sisters in months. The last time we saw you Kimby noticed how much weight you'd lost, you're worrying your sisters and me. Please just call me back sweetheart, I love you, we all love you. Bye."

Karlie sniffled, wiping her tears on her sweatshirt sleeves hating herself for being so weak and alone. Karlie's gaze turned to the lone photo left on the wall; she had taken the rest down shortly after Taylor. It was a lone photo of herself holding Taylor close, placing a soft kiss on her forehead which caused the girl in her arms to smile so wide it represented the sun. Karlie swore to that. Taylor had always claimed that Karlie was pure sunshine, but Karlie disagreed Taylor was the sunshine and that sunshine left Karlie's life just like Taylor did.

All was left now was dark clouds and rainstorms.

Karlie sighed once more, lifting herself out of the soft armchair to turn on the radio. Hoping they weren't playing the usual love songs she had grown so tired of listening too, they all reminded her of Taylor and reminded her of the heartbreak.

A slow jam came on and the brunette immediately knew it was a love song just from one lyric. "For fuck sake!" Karlie screamed, picking up the digital radio and throwing it at the wall.

"I HATE THIS, I HATE THIS, THIS MAKES NO SENSE. I AM DONE MISSING HER, I AM DONE GRIEVING OVER HER WALKING OUT OF THE DOOR. I'M SO OVER CRYING. Why won't the pain stop?" Karlie screamed at no one slumping down onto the floor in a heap, tears streaming down her face. Her already puffy red eyes ached with yet more tears falling from them.

The phone rang once more, queuing Karlie to groan in frustration as much as she wanted to answer the phone or change her voicemail greeting she didn't want too. That would erase Taylor forever and she wasn't sure if she was ready for that, not yet anyway.

The voicemail message played once more, becoming a repetitive thing throughout Karlie's days.

"Hey Kar, it's Lily. Duh you know that already. I'm just phoning to check in on you, I haven't seen you since— well you know. Anyway, I'm going for lunch tomorrow with the girls and we thought you might want to come along? Get you out of the house for a little bit. Just text me or call me back, whatever you decide to do is fine with me. I just miss my friend. I love you, talk soon."

Karlie smiled, she missed her friends but they all knew that leaving the house wasn't an option for her.

The date on the clock flashed like it did on every hourly change. July 14th. Karlie's heart sank once more, tomorrow would've been the girls sixth year anniversary.
