Taylor smiled at Karlie from the distance, walking down the spiral staircase with a huge smile on her beautiful face. Her blonde hair and her blue eyes were complimented beautiful by the light pink ball gown she was wearing. When she had finally reached the bottom of the staircase after taking extra care in her heels, Karlie greeted her at the bottom. Taking one of her girlfriends gloved hands and kissing it softly, keeping eye contact with the girl in front of her at all times.
"You look absolutely stunning. You're so incredibly beautiful, and I am so proud and lucky to call you my girlfriend. And I absolutely adore you and will love you forever, never forget that." Karlie chimed up, a small blush heated her cheeks. "Are you trying to make me cry Miss Kloss? Because I think you're trying to purposely trying to make my makeup smudge."
"'Now would I do that?" Karlie laughed, helping Taylor down off the last step and leading her to the hall she had especially rented for this night. It was the exact replica of the one they had met in six years previously. How far they had come since then. Five years of love, commitment and memories, Karlie wouldn't exchange that for anything in the whole world, the whole universe.
"I love you so much Taylor." Karlie whispered into the shorter girls ear, as she slow danced around the ballroom leading her beautiful girlfriend around the dance floor.
"I love you so much more." Taylor whispered almost inaudible, a loose tear drop fell on Karlie's arm coming from the blue eyed girl.
Karlie let go of Taylor at that moment, it was her signal to the DJ who was the only other person in the building with them. Karlie slowly slipped down onto her knee, thankful that she had chosen to wear a jumpsuit and not a dress, as Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden played softly in the background. Taylor hadn't even noticed what was happening, her mind was wandering to a much darker place that Karlie was yet to find out about.
The DJ subtly coughed to get Taylor's attention as Karlie was rummaging through her pockets for the ring, forgetting where she had put it. The blonde laid eyes on her girlfriend and instantly knew where this was leading and ran out on Karlie.
Karlie stood in shock for a few moments not processing what had just happened. "Turn that music of for Christ sake."
"Taylor!" Karlie yelled after catching up with Taylor and seeing she was almost at the door but had stopped upon hearing Karlie's voice. "What are you doing, what's going on?"
Taylor turned around to see her girlfriend, the pain in those green eyes. "I am so sorry. I truly love you, I do. But I can't be with you, not anymore. You'll find out why, soon and trust me you'll be glad I left."
Karlie bolted up right, covered in a cold sweat and shaking from the dream she had, it was always the same one, of the day Taylor had walked out on her. Of course, now Karlie knew the reason and should've seen the signs, the huge hints Taylor would drop every now and again but Karlie was too blinded by love to see anything. Oh how she wished she had seen them, maybe then she could've stopped Taylor from leaving.
The alarm clock on the bedside table was the only source of lighting in the pitch black room as Karlie rummaged around her bed, looking for her cell. "Come on, come on where are you?"
The girl finally found her cell, it had fell between the bed and the bedside table. Taylor had always complained that the space between those two objects were always too far apart. "I know you're probably saying I told you so." Karlie chuckled imagining her girlfriend doing so, she was right though.
On her small old cell, one that Taylor had bought her for work she scrolled through her messages, she did this every morning just to see the old texts the beautiful blonde sent her.
