Two months had passed since Karlie and Taylor had gotten back together. Those two months had been full of pain and hell for Karlie, she could see her beautiful girlfriend deterating in front of her eyes. But thankfully the brunette had finally raised the money to get Taylor to Canada for a consultation appointment with the specialist Trish mentioned, the only thing was Karlie had yet to mention it to Taylor.
Austin had taken Taylor to another doctors appointment this morning, giving Karlie time to pack one suitcase full of hers and Taylor's clothes and get their passports together. The problem was Taylor had been planning her funeral for the past seven weeks, explaining to her girlfriend several, exhausting times that she wanted to be buried next to their daughter. Taylor wouldn't hear a word of Karlie's pleas to seek other options. Everyone, including Taylor's family were worried she had given up already; and deep down Karlie knew her girlfriend had. Only the night before Tay had asked Karlie to marry her before she died, it broke her heart to turn her down in hopes she would survive.
"You're giving up to easily you know!" Austin's voice carried through the windows, signalling to Karlie that the Swift siblings were back. "You've no right to talk to me like shit Austin, I'm the one with the cancer, I'm the one who's got to deal with appointments with doctor upon doctor, I'm the one who's going to die and leave everyone I love behind! I don't want to die don't you understand that I'm not giving up? I'm getting weaker because the cancer is getting stronger! You should leave, I can make my own way upstairs. I'm not totally incapable yet."
The words echoed through the thin windows and found themselves buried in Karlie's mind and etched in her heart, so her girlfriend hadn't given up yet. The door slammed taking the brunette out of her thoughts and bringing her back to reality; Taylor entered the living area. Her usual smile throughout everything had disappeared, her blue eyes pale and filled with tears; she spotted Karlie and ran to her embracing her in a tight hug which surprised her.
"Baby it's okay shush, shush I'm right here. I heard your argument with Austin, is this what this is about?" Taylor nodded, burying her face deeper into Karlie. "Well, I have something that might cheer you up. I raised some money and booked an appointment for you to see a specialist in Toronto, our appointment is tomorrow and I have booked us a flight for tonight. We're all packed and your family is going to look after Olivia and Meredith."
Taylor sniffed into the woollen sweater her girlfriend was wearing, shocked at what she was hearing. "When did you do this, why did you do this for me after everything I've done to you?"
"I love you, we're going to fight this cancer together. Our angel doesn't want any of us joining her yet, she would be disappointed we let your cancer win."

The flight to Toronto wore Taylor out, she had been feeling worse and worse for days, the smallest things had been tiring her out recently. Now in the car Karlie had rented, Taylor was undoubtedly feeling worse than ever, she was worried more when Karlie noticed. "Taylor, are you okay? You look really, really pale, we will be at the hotel soon so you can have a lie down."
"I'm fine just ti— pull over the car, now!" Taylor, mumbled her hand rapidly covering her mouth as a wave of nausea hit her suddenly. Karlie stopped the car so fast it was lucky they were both wearing seatbelt otherwise they'd have both flown out of the windscreen. After Karlie had gotten over the panic that filled her she noticed Taylor was out of the car, retching on the sidewalk, guilt hit, she heard Taylor telling her brother she could feel herself getting weaker, the brunette knew she shouldn't have forced her partner to fly for an appointment that might not change anything. Getting out of the car in a hurry to rub her girlfriends back something slipped out of her lips almost to fast, she hadn't even registered them. "I will marry you. I've always wanted to marry you, you know that. I'm sorry I said no, and if you want to we can find a nice chapel and get some witnesses before our appointment tomorrow. What do you say?"
Taylor stood up from her crouched position, to stand up straight and look deep into the emerald eyes to see if they were speaking the truth. After a moment of intense staring the smaller of the two nodded her head. "I'd like that, but first I'd like to get to bed."
So I AM BACK. I have been really busy and trust me I wanted to write more than anything, but I've not been able to. Until now. I hope you enjoy, the chapters will get better after this one.
