I don't know why, but I've been rewatching a bunch of Thor, Thor The Dark World, and Avengers. Some people wonder why Loki has such a huge fan base. He's the bad guy after all.
I think it's because that, while you still want Thor or The Avengers to win, you sympathize with Loki. You feel for his backstory, and then get confused on who your hero is in the movie.
If you were to be evil for one day, what kind of villain would you be like? Personally, I would want to be like Loki. And I'm sure most would too. There's just something about his charm, his sarcasm, and the proud way he treats everyone.
He actually reminds me of Scar from the Lion King. The brother that wants the throne, yet doesn't even know how to use his power.
Anyway, that's what I've been thinking about one of my favorite villains of all time. (Next to Cancerman, Moriarty, the Master, and Shredder.)
