"My head...Mum, I don't feel good..." Cy groaned as she slowly sat up in bed. "I don't think Tenaru can help you from up here." Lynn chuckled. Cy's eyes open wide and she say straight up, remembering where she was but not remembering what happened before she became unconscious. "Uncle Lynn! What happened-ow! Hey what was that for?" Lynn had given Cy a surprise shot. "It's for the memory loss and the aches in your back." Lynn said quite cheerfully. "Why are you so happy?" Cy asked. "It was a success! The project!" Lynn exclaimed. He held up a mirror for Cy. She saw a very big change immediately. "My wings! Holy crap they're huge!" Cy jumped out of bed but was instantly dizzy. "Maybe you should rest a little longer. I'll go get some food. Does some good old chicken and noodle soup sound good?" Lynn asked. "Yea, thanks." Cy yawned. "I'll wake you up when it's ready!" Lynn told her, but Cy was already napping.

"Thanks for the soup, Uncle Lynn!" Cy gratefully slurped the last of the soup, her energy to the max from her sleep and the food. "Homemade too," Lynn told her. "Sorry to rush things, but I'm really excited to see what kinds of powers you have." Lynn was looking at the screen with excitement. "Come over here and lets find out!" Lynn said. Cy managed to fold her new wings properly. They actually looked to be almost the same size of Lynn's due to her being one of the few angel spirits. "So..well, it's obvious you have the speed ability of a vampire, which comes from your dad," Lynn pointed out. "But these blue particles, they confuse me; blue usually means some sort of water, or rain, maybe ice...but they surround yellow and orange..." While Lynn was lost in his own thinking, Cy saw one thing in common with the few spirits. "All the spirits are elemental.." Cy mumbled out loud. "What? Elemental?" Lynn was confused. "All the spirits had elemental powers. Like they could...control them. One of my favorites is..who was it, Jurnai? He could tell the plants to grow and do all sorts of things." Cy explained. There was one problem. "What elemental powers are yellow and orange?" Lynn asked. He ran over to his large collection of books and pulled out a fairly heavy one titled: 'Spirits: The Possible Powers'. "What's this for?" Cy looked at the book with doubt. "This book lists every power known and every power possible for Spirits." He explained as he flipped through the book. "Pink...Red...Red Orange...Orange! Here we are," Lynn pointed to the chapter. "Orange: Usually based around lava, fire, and other heat based destructives." Cy looked at the words doubtfully. "How do I even use my powers?" Cy heard Lynn making guesses, but Cy had thought of something. Staring at her hand, she thought to herself, 'Fire. Fire bursting. On my hand. No heat, just fire.' Cy pictured it in her mind, over and over.

Then she heard Lynn yelling.

"I'll get the fire extinguisher!!" Lynn was racing across the room, yelling random noises. She stared at her flaming hand. The strange thing about the fire was that it was blue. "I did it," Cy mumbled. "Lynn! I did it! I used my power!" she yelled at Lynn who immediately stopped in his tracks and ran over to Cy whose hand was on fire.

Lynn stared back at the book. "I-It says for fire type spirits: they can decide whether the flames will hurt on contact to any other flora or fauna, which doesn't include the spirit themself." Cy blankly stared at Lynn. He sighed, "Basically you can control whether it hurts someone or not, but it can never hurt you." Hearing this Cy let out a sigh of relief. "Wait till I say it's safe to touch it Uncle Lynn." Cy told him Lynn nodded; this would determine if Cy could control her power; if she couldn't, at any random time she could burst to flames. 'Lynn. Lynn, friend. Fire will not hurt Lynn.' Cy thought as hard as she could while staring at the fire. She imagined Lynn's finger on the fire, and he was not getting hurt. Hesitantly, Cy confirmed it was safe with a tiny nod. Lynn slowly put his hand on top of the fire. On first contact Lynn had flinched due to instinct. Sure enough, the second touch he was just fine.

Imagining the blue-tinted fire going out, the flame slowly died away, not leaving a trace of burn marks.

"That went well!" Lynn said. "Want to try the next one?" Cy and Lynn were both encouraged and a bit to overconfident. "Yellow: this power is usually thunder, and a spirit of yellow can sometimes control electricity," Lynn recited the words from the next chapter. "Let's just try the thunder for now. Do the same thing as before, but only imagine a little as thunder is much more dangerous than fire." Cy imagined a little spark on her finger. 'Light. Spark of thunder. A small shock, harmless.' Cy burst this thought to life right on the tip of her index finger. Except it wasn't small.

I'll just say that Lynn will have to pay for new doors and windows.

They both just sat there, in the light on the sunrise. Then, for no obvious reason, the laughed. They laughed for quite a while, but had to stop as they had to clean up the glass and wood splinters on the floor. Lynn had just started cleaning the wood up when Cy said, "Done with the glass!" And she was right. In a matter of seconds, she had cleaned all the glass shards from the floor. "Well, now we know your speed ability works!" Lynn said with slight shock.

After cleaning up the wood and glass, they practiced wing exercises as Cy isn't used to these large of wings. "Let's go see if Eirynn, Nashya, and Fernet are up already!" Cy was excited to show off her new powers to her friends. "Might as well take your new flyers for a spin!" Lynn said encouragingly. They synchronized dived down to the ground below.
