Five: True Self

Lynn was able to convince Cy to come with her. Cy struggled on the flight to Meiridyn, due to the small size of her wings. "You're sure you don't need help?" Lynn asked. Just as Cy was going to respond, a gust of wing unbalance her, and Cy was plummeting towards her death. "Gotcha!" Lynn exclaimed as he caught Cy's hand. "Okay, I may need a little help..." Cy stubbornly mumbled.

"We're going to have to be as quiet as possible because-Cy? Cy are you listening? Lynn whispered. Cy had lost her train of thought while staring at her old home. "Wha-? Sorry," Cy's attention snapped back to place. "Why did we come at midnight?" It was hard to see where she was walking on the cloud of Meridyn. "We don't want any attention during your stay here." They had finally arrived at Lynn's home-or, should I say, lab. Cy was hesitant walking in the door. There were many bad memories that originated from this building. "Hey, it's alright Cy. Nothing bad will happen here if you don't want it to." Lynn gave her a little kiss on the forehead, then walked inside to turn the lights on. "Cy I want you to see this." Lynn had walked over to a computer. On the screen was two different DNA strands. "Now these to DNA is from your dad, a vampire, and your mum, an angel," Lynn pushed a couple off keys, and the two DNA strands came together. "Their DNA became yours. And according to this, you have many abilities, and what should be large wings." Cy had began to realize what Lynn wanted to do. "You...you want to continue your project? B-but..you said...you liar!" Cy had nervously took a few steps away from the laptop and Lynn. Before she could run out the doors, Lynn grabbed her arms-and gave Cy a gentle hug. "Nothing will happen here if you don't want it to. I've changed, Cy. You have to trust me on that." Cy had relaxed enough, but was still shaking from complete terror from her memories; his rage, her fear, her fall.

"If what you say about me is true, and yes, I-I do trust you," Cy managed to say, "I will continue the project." Cy hugged Lynn. "You are a very brave angel, Cy." Lynn gave Cy one last peck on the cheek, then got up to prepare for the project.
