[it takes place on Prince Caspian...]

Edmund, Lucy, Susan, Peter and Trumpkin decided to sleep at the woods by that night, so they could continue their searching for prince Caspian on the next day.

Edmund didn't sleep very well. Though he was tired, he's mind was going from  thought to another, non-stop, but not especifics, actually he didn't know why he was like this.

It was still very early, when he decided to get up from the ground. He looked around, seing his siblings and Trumpkin still sleeping., so he stayed there unmoved, just admiring the sound. When another sound, a mix of whisper and wind, passed right through his ears.

   "Son... search for me..."

Edmund shook a little bit at that deep voice, from who he knew very well.

Trying to make no sound, so the others couldn't wake up, he went deeper and deeper in the woods, 'til he find out what he was looking for.

 - Aslan! - he said, joyful.

He bowed down, thouching his knees on the ground.

 - Get up, son of mine. - said Aslan, kindly.

 - I'm so happy! Lucy was the only one who seeing you. Now I can see you too.

Aslan released his very deep, calm and soft laugh, what was like music to Edmund ears.

 - Son, you see me because you want to. Now, I need you to listen. There is someone who is going to fight besides you, your brother ad your sisters. After you and your siblings finds Caspian, look for her. She needs your help, and Narnia need her.

 - Yes, Aslan! I'll do as you say. - said Edmund, bowing his head.

When he lifted up his head, Aslan was no more there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In that morning, nearly they met Caspian, with company. Together, everybody started to walk towards Aslan's How.

 - So, you really saw him? It was not a dream? - asked Lucy to Edmund, who was besides her.

 - Yes, I really saw him!

 - Oh, Ed, I'm so happy!

 - Shhh... Don't tell the others. I don't want to tell them because they won't believe in me, as they didn't believe in you.

 - Okay. But you know you're going to tell some moment.

   He sighs.

 - I know.

 - You know, I don't understand what he told you.

 - Yeah, me too. - he said, serious. - I don't have idea of what to do and where to find this girl.

 - Girl?

 - Yeah. He said "her".

 - Um. Well, I think Aslan is going to help you with that. - said Lucy, confidently.

The rest of the walking was very quiet, but Edmund's thoughts were restless.

------------------------------------------------------------

When everybody was sleeping, Edmund took a horse, and, silent, went through the woods (not in the direction of Beruna, but the opposite).

He stopped for a moment, looking to every side.

- Where should I go? - he whispered, more like to himself.

"Go foward ..." , said a voice in the wind.

A drop of water touched his cheek. He looked to the sky, and abruptly started to rain.

- Let's go! - he said to the horse.

He went deeper in the woods. In one minute he was already soaked, and the horse as well.

Edmund stopped brutally the horse when he saw I light. Then, he saw a kind of chalet.

He got off his horse, tied it to a tree and knocked the door.

Someone opened the door, a girl actually. When she saw Edmund, her face showed that she was surprized.

 - Hey! I'm...

Edmund even hadn't the change to say something. The girl closed the door in his face.

"What? ", Edmund thought.

He took a deep breath, spent a hand over his soaked hair, and knocked again on the door.

   Nothing happened.

   He knocked again.

 - I'm King Edmund. Open this door! - he said, with a more serious voice.

   And nothing happened.

Edmund had no choice but to return to Aslan's How. The rain was hard. He rode the horse again.

 - Wait! - said a voice behind him.

He looked back. There was the same girl at the door. She looked nervous. She bowed, and signaled for Edmund to enter the chalet.

 - Who are you? - still on the horse, Edmund asked firmly.

 - My name is Ada. - she didn't made eye contact with Edmund after what she did. - Please, enter, your Majesty!
