Edmund didn't sleep well after arriving from Ada's little chalet. In the next day, they planned to invade Miraz's castle. Unfortunately, things went wrong. Caspian wanted to stay on Aslan's How preparing properly, but Peter wanted to go. Lucy told everybody that the best thing to do was calling for Aslan so he could help them. Nobody wanted to listen to the youngster. Sometimes, the youngster is wiser.

Edmund could not stop thinking about what could have happened if Ada had chosen to be with them.

"Why Aslan wants her to fight with us? It is just one more person, doesn't make any difference." - Edmund was thinking to himself all day long. But he couldn't help himself but thinking in all that fear she seemed to feel. Something inside him desired to help her somehow, or just make something that could make she feel better.

"I could do anything to see her smiling...", he giggled at his own thoughts.

A lot happened In the same day. Many died, Caspian made a mistake calling for the White Witch, anothers died, Peter almost surrendered to the White Witch, and the telmarines were arriving in the woods.

In the next day, Edmund went to the woods, where Miraz was camping, to make a treat, which he accepted: He and Peter were going to fight, just them. If Peter win, the telmerines would give the narnians their peace and their kingdom back again.

So, they were ready for another battle, if that should happen.

While Edmund was coming back from Miraz's tent in the middle of the woods, he heard something.

 - Psst! - someone whispered.

He looked to the right, and then to the left.

 - Ada! - he exclaimed.

 - Edmund! Ummm, King Edmund... Umm...

 - You can call me Edmund, I've told you, right? - he said, gliggling.

 - Right! - Ada looked to the ground, but he knew she was smiling.

 - So, you decided to come out, hum.

 - Yes, because I have something to tell you. - she looked to every side, and then, pulled Edmund more foward, hiding themselves behind some trees.

 - What happened? - Edmund asked, frowning.

 - While I was lefting my place to search for you, I heard some conversation. I hide myself and started to listen to, what looked like, two men. One is called Glozelle and the other Sopespian, I think. They were talking about killing Miraz if something goes wrong and then start a battle.

 - They are going to betray him! - Edmund said, more to himself.

 - We need to be prepared. - Ada said.

 - Wait, you will join us?

 - Yes. - Ada stopped for a moment, and then said - Edmund, I'm sorry for that night, I...

 - There is nothing to apologisy for, ok. - Edmund looked her in the eyes.

 - Ok. - This time she wasn't uncomrfotable of looking him in the eyes too.

 - We need tell the others. - Edmund said, and they made their way to Aslan's How.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There, Edmund needed to explain everything from the start to everybody, what he was afraid to do because he knows how some people would act, but he knew he needed to.
