After quickly changing and freshening up, I walked to my locker to grab my fourth hour stuff and met back up with Veronica. Walking through the hallways I heard whispers about Caper, about how hot he was and whatnot. Rounding the corner, I saw Veronica leaning against my locker waiting for my arrival. "What's up blondie?" I said making her jump away from my locker putting her hand to her heart.
"You do not scare me like that Martie! We talked about this," Veronica scolded me, but I was laughing too hard to pay attention. Quickly I recovered from my laughter and opened up my locker on the first time. "Sooo the word going around school there is this super hot male model that just arrived today," Veronica told me and I rolled my eyes. "Also I heard that you are his your guide? Is this true?" Veronica said slapping my locker shut once I got out my stuff for the photography class that she forced me to take with her. "Well... Yeah but it's not a big deal that you need to hurt my locker for it," I said and started walking to class that was just on the other side of the hall. "It is when your friend tries to text you about it and there's no response," Veronica said flipping her white blond hair, "Dude, you know I don't go on my phone during school," I responded as-a-matter-fact tone. Veronica sighing taking her seat and taking out her recent Polaroid photos. It was a smaller classroom, mostly because not a lot of kids typically took this class. "Still though, how could you not text me about this?!?! We never get new kids, especially hot guys!" Veronica continued on, but I was distracted by her photos. "Where did you take this?" I asked, it was a photo of her twin brother, Vincent, sitting on a ledge looking into the sunset. Veronica rolled her eyes at my attempt to change the subject, "You know that sign with the yoga class on it?" "Yeah?" "It's from there," I stared at her blankly. "How on earth did you get up there?" I stuttered a bit and all Veronica did was shrug her shoulders, sadly before I could press on, the teacher started class.

The class passed by quickly as usual, and thankfully it was time for lunch. Veronica stayed after to talk to the teacher about getting scholarships for photography. I put my stuff in my locker and grabbed out my brown sack lunch bag from my backpack. "What's up slut?" Marcus teased from behind me, "Nothing much retard," I simply responded and closed my locker then continued to walk down the hall to the lunch room. Marcus fell in step with me by my side, "So what do you think of this new kid?" "I think he's alright, I mean he seems nice. Probably gonna get swooped with with all those people soon enough... So yeah, he's ok," I explained. Marcus just nodded then a mischievous appeared on his face. "What are you thinking?" I questioned him a bit worried, "Oh nothing sweet pea," he responded in a sing-song voice. I knew something bad was going to take place whenever he called me something nice, so I just let out a sigh and hoped that he wouldn't get suspended again.

Caper's P.O.V

I hated these assignments. I've done only four other ones and they were all freaking girls. I hit my head on my locker and groaned, it was the same thing every time, and most likely she would do it to. Here's what happens, I go undercover in a high school around the United States finding them, then they would fall in love with me then I would "break" their hearts and then they hate me. Great right? I plucked out my lunch from my locker and then took a deep breath. Just get her to trust you, take her to our world, let her down easy and begin the training, I thought to myself as I made my way to the cafeteria.

Scanning the room, I saw Martie sitting at a table with that one Marcus kid and a girl with platinum blonde hair with pale skin. I strolled over there and politely asked if I could sit with them as if I were lonely. Martie smiled brightly up at me and my heart skipped a beat. What? "Of course, sorry I forgot I was suppose to show you around and everything," she apologized to me. "It's cool, it's not like it's that difficult," and I gave her a reassuring smile. I sat down next to the boy and then realized that ghost girl was staring at me. Martie looked between us then smacked the girl's arm, "It's not nice to stare at people Veronica!" She scolded at her friend. Veronica rolled her eyes, "I'm just analyzing him. Trying to figure him out," she said flatly. I blinked at the girl confused at by what she meant by analyzing me. Marcus cleared his throat causing the three of us to look at him, all with different expressions. Then he turned to me, "So have you met everyone yet?" Marcus asked with a sly grin on his face. What the hell kind of question was that? I stared at him now with a blank face before answering, "Well no, but-," before I could even finish, Marcus jumped onto our table and whistled quite loudly to get the attention of the whole lunch room. Once everyone was looking at him, he spoke, "As most of you know, we have gotten a new student today. His name is Caper and I suspect that we all treat him with respect and kindness..." I was completely shocked to what on earth was happening. Marcus kept speaking but I wasn't paying attention. My eyes caught Martie punching Marcus in the ankle, saying some pretty nasty comments to him that made me smile a bit. Finally, some teacher came over and barked at Marcus to come down from the table at once and he obeyed. Martie placed her head in her hands as Veronica shook her head. After letting out an frustrated breath, Martie said, "I'm so sorry about him, he's such a little bastard." I nodded my head but kept quiet, most of the school was still looking at me, mostly the girls I might add. Martie stood up and then tapped my leg with her leg and motioned for me to follow her. I grabbed my untouched lunch and followed her out of the cafeteria, leaving Veronica behind, although it didn't look like she cared much. Once we were out of the lunch room, Martie started to apologize for Marcus. "He's is a pretty cool dude, but he's such an idiot most of the time that it doesn't show much," Martie said as we walked over to her locker. "It's cool, better welcome than my last school gave me," I chuckled. There was silence between us as Martie put her lunch back into her locker. "Is there anything you wanted to talk to me about?" I finally asked her as we made our way through the empty halls to my locker. "Not really, just thought that you probably didn't want to sit there after what happened, that little turd," she scoffed at that little part. "How about you tell me about yourself," I asked as we approached my locker. "Ok, well I'm an only child, 16 years of age, soccer is my life, books are also my life and I enjoy movies. How's that for info?" Martie smirked at me. "You're turn," she asked suddenly catching me off guard, "Oh... Uhhh yeah right. I'm 16 as well, actually turning 17 in two weeks, only child as well, I like soccer too, as well as books and movies," I smiled at her but she frowned back to me. Huh? "What's wrong?" I asked unsure of what was happening. Martie rolled her eyes, "You just copied everything I said, talk about creativity." I was surprised at her sass towards me, this has never happened to me before. "We have about five minutes until the bell rings and dismisses the kids from lunch, where are you headed next?" She asked after glancing at the clock. "Uhhh....." I started, "That's quite the class, I heard the tests in there were hard," she teased me and smiled again. Damn she's has a great smile. "Very funny, I have physics next then my last hour is English," I remembered and shoved my hands in my pockets. Martie let out a chuckle, "That's right, I have those with you. I'm usually good at remembering stuff," she paused, "usually." Suddenly I found myself staring at her, her hair was wavy thrown into a sloppy pony tail like she didn't care, and her eyes. Her eyes were just astonishing. I mean, she told me that they were beautiful but nothing I ever ever seen matched them. The deepest blue as if the night sky was captured in her eyes, they dazzled just like the stars. Then the lefts eye eyebrow lifted and a hand waved in front of my face. "Are you okay? You're drooling..." She trailed off and my hand shot up to my mouth and found nothing there. I knitted my eyebrows together, "That's not funny," I told her. "Yeah it is," Martie laughed and threw her head back. I rolled my eyes and stood there looking up at the ceiling, a simple gray colour. "Ok, well grab your physics stuff, also your English too. The classrooms are like right next to each other," Martie explained holding in her laughter. I nodded in response and silently pulled out my binders and a pencil. "Hey, I know this school sucks, but I think you'll be fine here. I mean, the girls love you so you'll be fine," Martie said looking straight forward. "All the girls?" I decided to work some of my charm on her and lean up against my locker facing her with my eyebrows slightly raised. "You can dream lover boy," was all she said before walking back towards her locker leaving me dumbfounded. This might be harder than I thought.
