Captain Steve Rogers was in the gym working on a punching bag. As he was punching he let out his anger and sadness of the past go. Memories from the war. Punch. Infiltrating Hydra's base. Punch. "There's not enough time. I got to put her in the water." Punch.  Hydra using the tesseract. Punch. Peggy talking to him while he was piloting the aircraft. "You won't be alone." Punch. Doctors finding his and unfreezing him. "Oh my gosh. This guy is still alive." Punch. With one final punch Steve hit the punching bag across the room. He stood there breathing heavily. He walked over to a line of punching bags and picked one up. He hung it up and started punching again.

"Trouble sleeping?" A voice asked. Steve looked over to see Director Nick Fury walking over. "I've been asleep for seventy years sir. I think I've had my fill." He said continuing to punch the sleeping bag. "Then you should be out, celebrating, seeing the world." He said. "When I went under, the world was at war. I wake up they say we won. They didn't say what we lost." Steve made his way to his bag and started to unwrap his knuckles. "We've made some mistakes along the way. Some very recently." The Director said. "Are you here with a mission sir?" He asked Fury. "I am." He replied. "Trying to get my back in the world?" Steve assumed. "Trying to save it." Fury handed Steve a file. He took it and looked at a picture of the tesseract. "Hydra's Secret weapon." He looked through the file as Fury talked. "Howard Stark fished that out of the ocean when he was looking for you. He thought what we think. The tesseract could be the key to unlimited sustainable energy. That's something the world sorely needs." Steve closed the file and handed it back to Fury. "Who took it from you?" He asked. "He's called Loki. He's not from around here. There's a lot we'll have to bring you up to speed on if you're in. The world has gotten even stranger than you already know." He said. "At this point I doubt anything could surprise me." Steve said walking over to his bag. "Ten bucks says you're wrong." The Director said. Steve grabbed his bag and put a punching bag over his shoulder. "There's a debriefing packet waiting for you back at your apartment." The Director said as Steve was leaving. "Is there anything you can tell us about the tesseract that we don't already know?" The Director asked. "You should have left it in the ocean."
