Chapter 4

"What are you doing" I asked David. "Trying to become a soldier" he said. "Really you don't look like one" I smirked. "They wouldn't let me in" he said. "I will, give me your hand" I said.

He grabbed my hand and I pulled him onto North. "Beautiful horse" David said. "Thanks" I smiled "You hear that North" I whispered to her. We rode back to the stables.

"Princess Vanessa who is this" Anthony asked. "David Hudson he would like to become a soldier" I said. "Do you have the money" Anthony asked. "No but my family wanted me to join" David said. "Well you need money to start training"  Anthony said.

"I'll pay for it" I said. "Really" the guys shocked about my answer. "Ya if your family wants you to join you can I would do anything for my father" I said. "King John" David said. "No John is no king..King David my one and only father" I said.

The boys were silent. "Vanessa Summer Cara" I know that voice. "Mother what now" I snapped. "Don't give me attitude and don't say your father's name every again..... who is this boy" she asked.

"David Hudson the new soldier in training" I said. "Well I would like his enter fee" mother said. "You have I'm paying for his training" I said. "You can't do that Vanessa" she said. "I can and I will, come on David I'll show you to the captain" I got off North and took David with me.

"So who is the captain?" David asked. "I don't know I've only heard his voice just like many other people I've heard off" I sighed. The day I lost my father was my last time out of the kingdom and the walls so I know absolutely nothing.

"Really well do you know where his room is" he asked. "Not a clue" I said. "Then how are we going to find him" he shouted. "Luck I haven't done much exploring" I said. He rolled his eyes at me like some idiot. "Fine I won't take you and I won't pay for you, you're on your own" I snapped.

"What but I thought you said you can and you will" he sighed. "That was 5 minutes ago this is now. You are such a jerk" I stormed off. Out of the corner of my eye I saw him go around the corner. "If you want to do this make the dang princess happy" a voice said one I've heard from somewhere.

"She is so stubborn though" David! Well you are just as stubborn! "Do you want me to be proud of you again" the voice said. "I missed because I was distracted and she came out" David said. "Ya ok but you need to get access to the weapons or at least something sharp" the voice snapped.

David is trying to kill me. "You know the deal let her trust me then I'll do it" David said. "Then go get her trust" he said. "Yes father" David sighed. "What have I told you can't call me that till you prove yourself to be true" he said. "Yes sir" David snapped.

I heard footsteps so I ran to my room. As I slam the door I hear a knock. "What do you want" I shout. "It's Alexandra" she said. I open the door and there she was with him. "This boy was looking for you" she smirked. "Alexandra go find Eugene" I said. "Ok Vanessa" she ran off leaving him and I alone.

"Listen I wanted to talk to you" he started. "Sarah!" Sarah came out of my closet. "Yes Vanessa" she asked. "Take him to Captain Conor he's a new soldier" I said. David looked shocked and disappointed. "Ok Vanessa come sir" Sarah said. They left my room and I was finally alone.......maybe.
