"Why'd you put that into my head?" Mid hissed as she stood up from her bed. Elijah smiled at her sadly.

"I didn't put anything into your head, you remembered on your own."

Mid's eyes widened, "Remembered? What do you mean remembered?"

Elijah didn't say a word. Mid sighed angrily.

"What the hell is happening to me? What is going on since you've been here?" she demanded. Elijah just walked up towards her, taking her hand in his.

"It's better if you don't know," he whispered, before kissing her forehead. He then ripped off her necklace and made her look at him.

"You will remember nothing of what happened tonight. You will not remember the dream or me being here."

"I have to say something," Stefan says, coming closer to Mid. She stares at him cautiously.

"Why do you have to say it with my necklace?" she asked, stepping away some. He sighs, looking down.

She stares at him confused, "Stefan?"

He steps towards her, "I just have to say it once. You just need to hear it."

Mid sighs, but nods for him to continue.

Stefan ran a hand over her cheek, "But my brother does. You can give him his happy ending. And he can give you yours." He leans in and kisses Mid's forehead, before pulling away.

Mid notices the tears that he holds in his eyes as he stares down at her.

"God, I wish you didn't have to forget this."

Mid looked at him confused.

"But you do."

Mid sighed as she waited outside her home for her parents to join her in the car. She wasn't a big fan of patience, but she was too shy to say anything.

She looked around, seeing no one was coming anytime soon, and made her way to the passage to the woods behind her home. She ran as fast as she could to the familiar clearing, but it was hard, that she ended up tripping on a large root, and cutting her ankle deeply.

But she didn't let the pain stop her as she continued to run, until she got to the clearing, her large rock in the center of the meadow. She had no idea why, but she felt drawn to this meadow. Like she had so much history she couldn't remember, but felt.
