I had to be careful about my targets, I looked over the photos trying to memorize their faces again. I turned the picture to see Daniel. His worn and depressed expression.
He was talking with Fern, and by the glaze in his eyes he was drunk and high off his ass. He must have been talking about me. Rolling my finger over his face briefly I stopped. My compassionate demeanor replaced by rage and disgust.
Everything. She told me that I had to kill my past, and my past was disgusting. Why did I have to be this way? Why was I so ugly? Why did I have a psycho? The questions some had answers while the others didn't. But it only made me angrier.
"Silence."
I jumped slightly my head turning to Puppet who looked me over. I was about to rip the photo.
"Sam is here, she wants to meet you. She's got stuff to tell you." She explained emotionlessly.
I looked around the room putting the picture in my pocket and following her down the steps. Everyone was around the worn out living room.
As we made it down the stairs I saw a tall and rather lean figure. She wore all black and her mask. It was the same as the other two and with an ace of clubs. She had a completely metal right hand.
She looked me over with burning icy eyes. That moment I felt the most at home.
The way she looked through me. I felt Silence's approval.
"One in the same." Liu smirked at me.
As me and Sam sat down the others decided to leave. I assumed it was for what she was going to tell me. None the less I was wary.
"So, your past..your targets let me see them." She ordered.
I handed her the picture without an ounce of regret.
She looked over the picture.
"Hmm..it is them."
"Who?" I croaked.
"Your targets, well one of them anyways working with an organization, I can't t,el you much because when you take your revenge. You will know everything, you'll know how it started and where you're meant to be." She said gruffly.
"This is a mission. I suggest you leave tonight you've had enough time to meet us." Sam's voice changed slightly. It was almost urgent that I leave.
I packed a backpack. Pulling on some gloves and pulling over a heavy cotton hoodie to brave the cold when Silence would go dormant.
With that, I left that night. Hearing a few scuttling behind me. I was being followed.
